Comic of the Week #9

Hawkeye: Kate Bishop, Vol. 1: Anchor Points

I just recently read this graphic novel collection on the recommendation of L at Do You Dog-Ear? and it was quite good. I've always been a Hawkeye fan but Kate Bishop is a newer, younger version, and she brings a lot of snark to the role. Plus this series is set in sunny California and that's part of the fun.

  3. A newer, younger version? I haven't the older Hawkeye ones, but that's interesting they've kind of revamped?

  6. Fun. I like the idea of gender-swapping some of these more iconic roles. I'm all for it, except for James Bond for some reason. I think the swap brings some fun to the character.

  7. I still haven't given comics a chance. This does look good.
