Sunday Post #272

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer
Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews
It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Book Date

My favorite thing of the last week or so might be the Riverdale parents episode. Did you see it?

The bar is now high. :):): In other news, SciFi Month is rolling on, and along with it the readalong for The Long Way To A Small Angry Planet. The first twitter chat was this past weekend and the next one is this Sunday. I reviewed The Similars this week and next week will be The Cheerleaders.

Movies That Suck will be back with... The Meg! Yes! More shark goodness. Look for that soonish.

  3. I'll probably get Meg as soon as the dvd is released. I can never resist sharks!

  4. Fun that you're doing a sci-fi readathon and love the sci-fi themed picture scapes. I don't think Meg would be my thing, but I do plan to watch the latest Fantastical Creatures.

  5. I'm looking forward to Meg, I've heard the book is really good😁

  7. I'm still loving the cover to The Similars. 📗✨

Thanks for the Tangerine Dream song! 🎼

I like the art based on the rocket book cover. 🚀

Have a wonderful new week. 🌞

  8. Never got around to seeing the Meg. Barb at BookerTsFarm watched this week and liked it but said it was nothing like the book. I didn't even know there was a book. Have a great week.

    1. I haven't read the book but I'm not surprised it's different. TBH I didn't think it was that good, although... it has moments.

  10. I LOVED the parents ep of Riverdale. It was a genius way to tell us that part of the story, and as always, the episode ended in crazy. I love that I can rely on Riverdale to do that every week.

    1. You're right, Riverdale gives us a weekly dose of bonkers. I loved the episode too and would legitimately watch more of the parents' antics!

  11. Damn, your pictures this week are on point! I don't even know if I can pick a favorite, I love them all!

The problem with the Riverdale parents episode is that nothing will ever surpass it, in terms of awesomeness. Unless they do the 1800s G&G episode I am clamoring for...

I am laughing at all the Wasteland videos, that is... a trip hahah. I still don't fully understand the Janky Car Parade, but if it makes them happy, have at it! Truly, even in the apocalypse, nay ESPECIALLY in the apocalypse, I'd want a sturdier, higher quality vehicle? Assuming there is endless fuel supply like in Fear. Also, I plan on dressing WAY more comfortably in the apocalypse. Metal jewelry in a desert like that? Recipe for disaster.

    1. Thank you! And so true :)

You are not down w/ Wasteland?? Actually I imagine Fury Road was a shot in the arm, er a shot of adrenaline mayhaps, in the whole Wasteland thing? Like it must have really inspired lots of cosplay. I hear ya on the parade though- I kept wondering what people (and police) would think seeing those vehicles going down the road... I have to say though, the plane- car IS kinda neat?

  12. Great images! I am curious about Riverdale...I think I tried to watch it, but didn't stick with it. Maybe I'll try again.

Enjoy Sci-Fi Month, and thanks for visiting my blog.

  13. I need to start watching Riverdale. Oh, just looking at the advert for Meg scares the heck out of me! I watched Jaws when I was a kid/teenager (? can't remember when) but I'm still haunted by it and I'm still scared swimming in the ocean because of it! Lol! Can't wait to hear what you make of the movie. :)

    1. You do! Just be prepared for lots of goofiness. And yeah Jaws was scary- and see I didn't think this was, it was more kinda corny?

  15. I love the art choices this week! The name for the style escapes me at the moment, but I have a fondness for poster designs that use bold colors and clean lines like that.

  22. I will have to check out your review for the similars because that book does sound pretty interesting! I just have not been able to get into any movies or shows lately, but Riverdale seems pretty popular, so maybe I will finally check that one out soon.

  23. I have to come back to check the Meg post I guess. I kinda liked it but it might have somehtign too do with watching 'sky scrapper' the same week, which was terrible and the worst I have seen in a long time. I am just watching Riverdale on Netflix.

  48. We are two episodes behind on Riverdale! My husband keeps having to work late and it is throwing off our television watching. Lol. I am tempted to watch without him during my son's naptime but... I refrain. :( We should at least get to the parent's episode tonight - if not, he is off on a long weekend. Now I am really looking forward to watching it!
