Beyond the Books Favorite Food

This week's topic: Favorite Food, or share a recipe

Okay, this one is easy. Mt favorite food is... PIZZA. Without a doubt. As much as I like Chinese or Italian, nothing beats a good pie. So what kind of pizza do you ask? Well... lately I've been loving thin crust. New York style or Chicago deep dish, Detroit style - I like 'em all. But thin crust is probably my favorite.

Here's an excellent article on pizza in all its varieties, including the supposed 25 best in America.

And here's a recipe for pizza a little different way, courtesy of Brys Estate Vineyard and Winery in northern Michigan.

  1. Yum! I love pizza and my husband is a huge thin crust fan. I always like to try something standard and make it a little different so the video looks fun.

  2. I was never a thin crust fan until I actually went to Italy. Still haven't found the perfect one here, but lots of good stuff. So glad you're joining us this week.

    1. Me too, there are a few good places around here and I'm not sure what I would do if I couldn't order pizza once in a while! :)

  6. Friday is pizza day in our house, we favour the Pizza Hut stuffed crust pepperoni one, it usually lasts us two days and typically taste better cold!!

  7. Our family loves pizza too. :-) My daughter likes to eat the crusts off of mine and my husband's pizza--which drives me crazy because I love crusts. They're the best part of the pizza!

    1. I like crust too, especially when it's all blackened and crispy. A square pizza in a pan, even though I like thin, sometimes that hits the spot.

  8. Yum, pizza! I wish I could make an authentic homemade pizza because frozen pizzas don't cook evenly in my oven and come out with a cardboard crust. Therefore, we have to rely on Pizza Hut or Dominos when we have a pizza craving. I'm boring, I just like a cheese pizza.

  9. I love pizza too! My favorite is Round Tables King Arthur Supreme because it has everything on it. But if we get it the kids pick off a lot of the ingredients they don't like lol.

    1. That sounds good for some reason, cool name for a pizza! I don't generally get everything on it, but sometimes a supreme or "the works" hits the spot. I love al lthe toppings you can get! :)

  10. Woo, pizza! That has to be a favourite with lots of people. It would probably make my top 10 but my no. 1 is my mom's lasagna (so Italian food basically rocks). We have loads of good pizza places in Slovenia, plus Italy is 2 hours away so we're sorted on this account. I prefer thin crusts, too! I like the crunch.

  11. Pizza is divine. :D I don't eat grains so my family does like this meat base instead of a flour base, and it's STILL SO GOOD.
Thanks for stopping by @ Paper Fury!

  12. I also love pizza, I prefer a thick curst though. When I make pizza myself I often make french bread pizza, which is really good. I prefer pizza with onion and red bell pepper. Our local supermarkt sells a nice pizza with pesto cheese and onion that's very good. Although if I would pick a favourite cousine it would be indian food.
