Sunday Post #192

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer

Nice week- lots of sun and 70's. Is spring finally here? I spent a lot of time outside. Then it got all rainy and windy. I read quite a bit as well. I've also started watching Travelers on Netflix and I freakin love that show! Totally awesome- but the cliffhanger was killer. Now I have to wait...

Every once in a while you find a show that clicks, and Travelers definitely fits the bill. Continuum was that way for me too, and 12 Monkeys as well. All three are great shows (and they're all about time travel... hmm). Otherwise I'm still watching Riverdale... and still reading psychological thrillers. I'm finishing up Missing by Kelley Armstrong and hope to start I Found You soon.

I reviewed Gemina and Dead Girls Society this past week.  Next week is Blood Tide or Missing- maybe both?

  7. Travelers is quite addictive I think! Took me awhile not to see Will from Will and Grace in Eric McCormack, but I got there in the end lol

  8. It does seem spring is here finally, and that's awesome that you found a show you click with!

Idk, that bath artwork actually looks really dangerous to me. One day, that TV or whatever that is on the right side of the image is going to fall into that tub with her lol.

    1. Same here. And lol we might need a boat if it continues... we got a ton of rain the last two weeks. Time travel is awesome and I think you'd like Travelers.

  11. I started Travelers once and then never finished the episode- not because I didn't like it, I just kind of forgot? I guess I should give it another go! I really need to read Missing. I hope it was good! I want to live on that floating island tbh. I also could live with having that bathtub in my life, though the gun in the background gives me pause hahah.

    1. Travelers gets better, I was unsure about that first episode or two so if it didn't make a huge impression I can see that. If you get a chance to keep going though- it gets good. And I love flaoting islands- I could live there. Same with that bathtub, although yeah she looks dangerous!

  13. Oh, I'm excited about the new season of Bloodline! Sad that it will be the final season, though. Sigh.

I loved I Found You...hope you enjoy it, too. I'm curious about Gone Without a Trace.

Have a great week, and thanks for visiting my blog.

  14. I watched Travelers and was going to be pissed if they didn't do a 2nd season, but they are, so yay! I really liked Continuum, too. Have you watched The Magicians? I can't remember if you've mentioned it. OG - my favorite show. You HAVE to if you haven't already. The 1s season is on Netflix.

  15. I am glad to hear you enjoyed Travelers, Greg! It's a good one. But, yeah, that cliffhanger . . . We've got strong winds here too, but fortunately not rain.

I hope you have a good rest of the weekend and a great week. I am not sure yet what we have planned for tomorrow. Maybe nothing. Maybe something. Some weekends are like that. Haha.

  16. Can't wait for Bloodline. I got sucked into the series and seems like I've been waiting forever for more. I'll check out Travelers. Weather has been sunny and 80s here but real windy and muggy today. Summer is here in the south!

I've been wanting to buy Gemina but I always forgot. It's been on my TBR list.

  19. I just convinced my family to get Netflix but I haven't checked out Travelers or Continuum yet (I'm currently on a true crime binge). You've intrigued me though

Oh man, I am so behind on Kelley Armstrong books it isn't funny. I really need to buy and binge read all her latest stuff.

  20. I started Riverdale, but just found it too cheesy! I wanted to love it, so I'm sad I didn't. I haven't heard of Travelers, it might not be on Netflix here yet, but I'll check it out.

  21. I am curious to get your review on Missing. I have that book but haven't heard much about it (the publisher just randomly sent it to me). Hope you have a great week!

  22. I've been really wanting to find a new show to binge watch on Netflix. The only show I've been watching lately is The Blacklist. I don't watch to many time traveling shows, so I hadn't heard of the ones you talked about. I've been told I need to try the OG.

Hope you have a great week!

  23. I started Travelers recently and think I'm really going to enjoy it. Otherwise, I'm between shows. I've started a few that were just ok. I guess I'm just waiting for sequel seasons for just about everything right now.
Have a great week, Greg! :)

  26. I think Spring isn't coming, it's rainy and cold. I am ready for the steady 70's and 80's but no it's not found it's way here yet. :(

I need to check out Travelers I have thought about it but been binging some new mystery shows I found...lol.

    Have a great week!

  27. I wish it would just stay 60 degrees for 2 weeks straight, at least! A lot of the programs on Netflix are super addictive, and I have surprised myself. I watched Travelers, Frankie and Grace and tons more that have been truly entertaining.Hope your week is fab! Hugs...RO

  28. We have been watching Travelers. The only day we saw 70 was last Sunday. It is so cold it feels like fall/winter! Hope this week is a good one for you.

Spring? We've skipped right over to the dog days of summer here. (FL) It's been 90 all week.

  31. Oooh, Travelers looks awesome! I'll have to check whether it's on Canadian Netflix, because I definitely need a new show to binge watch. I've pretty much exhausted their supply of UK mystery shows...which is a hefty number. LOL.

Can't wait to hear your take on Missing! It sounds sort of like a YA version of City of the Lost to me.

  32. Travelers was a binge watch for me too - recommending it to everyone I know. I've not come across Claire McGowan's series before, will have to look into that one.

  33. I really hope this is the last week of cool weather. I like Eric McCormack and may check out Travelers.

  38. So, Bloodline and Travelers are worth watching? I am catching up with Riverdale, I just love the way the show is filmed the colours are amazing! Hope you have a great week.

  39. Yay for nice weather and finding shows which click. I haven't had that in a while, although I have watched the first episode of American Gods and I am pretty certain that is a show which clicks for me. I do need to go reread that book because it is so good. I haven't watched Travellers or Continuum but both are shows I know I'll like so I don't know what I'm waiting for.

  40. I hope spring makes an appearance your way soon! Good to hear you have had some sunny days and time outside, which always makes you feel good.
I must check out Travelers on your recommendation and I'm keen to give Riverdale a whirl.
Great to hear you are enjoying psychological thrillers at the moment, it's one of my favourite genres. I like your book lineup, I am tempted to add some of your books to my mountain TBR shelves!
Have a nice week Greg :-)

  41. I love time travel too so I'm all curious about Travelers. I'm not sure that Canadian Netflix has all the same shows as in the USA. Enjoy your reading and viewing week.

  45. As I write this I'm listening to my fave podcast talking about Riverdale, it sounds crazy! Luke Perry is in it, someone called Jughead too!

  46. I know, this crazy rain!

I have heard good things about Travelers! I should it add it to our list. And I definitely think you should watch Twin Peaks! :) In my opinion, it paved the way for all the cool shows we have now. :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. I love Kelley Armstrong! I'll have to add Travelers to my list. We are woefully behind on our viewing -- too much politics and news. Ugh.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I ADORE Time Travel...which explains my obsession with Doctor Who and the compulsive need to rewatch it. I need to check out Travelers, Continuum and 12 Monkeys too then! Loooove the floating island art ♥ Happy May my friend! xx

  49. Hi Greg! I forgot to tell you - I started watching Bloodline due to your recommendation and I love it. My husband not so crazy about it. He will be away for 2 weeks, so I can binge watch.

Books - Dead Girls Society is my type of read, will look into it. Thanks for sharing!

Hope you will have a good week and here's my Library Card for May: http://marelithalkink.blogspot.co.za/2017/05/library-card-may-2017.html

  50. It's a normal Spring season here in TX. Stormy weather followed by cool sunny days. I love the cool part. I'm savoring this mild type of weather while it lasts, because humid is coming soon...

    Have a great week! ~Aleen

  51. Poor Mother Nature is screwed up. We are having 80's this week. My poor tween had to run for 20 minutes straight in the weather. And it's a block week so she had to have PE for 2 hours. Yay for TV binging. I haven't watched it for so long and now I'm finding the small switch to it a nice change. I get tired of podcasts and audiobooks sometimes. I plan to catch up on certain shows and I need to watch Divergent before moving on to book two.

  52. Our weather goes from one extreme to the next. Very strange to say the least. I really want to watch Riverdale, but I can't find the beginning of the series anywhere. I'm still looking though. Have a great week!

  53. Oh. I hadn't heard of Travelers before. It does sound really good! Hope you have a great week!

  54. We had some decent weather lately. The temperatures stay pretty warm/ mild, but we do sometimes have some rain or winds. Glad to hear you found a show that clicks with you, it's nice when that happens. I'll keep an eye out for your review of Missing. That floating island picture looks great!
