The Twelve Days Of Christmas Book Tag

I was tagged by Brooke over at Brooke's Reviews and Sweeps for the 12 Days of Christmas tag- and since it's such an awesome tag I couldn't not do it! The tag itself was started by Nicola over at The Fantastic Book Dragon. And without further delay- here we are!

On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me- a partridge in a pear tree. The partridge stood alone in the pear tree. What is your favorite standalone?

One of these two at the moment.

The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet (Wayfarers, #1)The Shark Club

On the second day of Christmas my true love sent to me- two turtle doves. Love is in the air! Who is your one true pairing?

This one's easy- Bellarke!!!

On the third day of Christmas my true love sent to me- three French hens. In the spirit of threes, what is the best trilogy you have read?

I'm going to cheat and say Star Wars- since they're movies, not books. Although the novelizations count, right???

On the fourth day of Christmas my true love sent to me- four calling birds. Since series usually consist of four or more books, what is your favorite series?

I'll say A Song of Ice and Fire. I've re- read the series several times and I'm still holding out for the Winds of Winter, so yeah has to be my favorite. :)

On the fifth day of Christmas my true love gave to me- five golden rings. One ring to rule them all! Who is your favorite villain/ antagonist?

On the sixth day of Christmas my true love gave to me - six geese a laying. Creation is a beautiful thing. What is your favorite world/ world building?

Middle-earth no contest. It's the one fantasy world I'd probably want to spend time in, and there are so many amazing places I'd like to visit.

On the seventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me - seven swans a swimming. Who needs seven swans when all it takes is one good animal sidekick? Who's your favorite animal sidekick?

Arya Stark's direwolf Nymeria, maybe?

On the eighth day of Christmas my true love gave to me- eight maids a milking. Milk is so 18th century. Which book or series takes beverages/ food to a whole new level?

Nobody eats like hobbits.

The Hobbit

On the ninth day of Christmas my true love gave to me- nine ladies dancing. Dancing is just one skill of a lady! Who is your favorite kickass female lead?

Hanna from Gemina comes to mind.

Gemina (The Illuminae Files, #2)

On the tenth day of Christmas my true love gave to me ten lords a leaping. How about your favorite leading lad?

I'll say Captain Ashby from the Wayfarer.

The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet (Wayfarers, #1)

  1. I really need to get The Winds of Winter! COME ON GEORGE!!! I'd thought those Becky Chambers books were a series rather than standalone. Hmmm, that changes things...

  10. I love this tag! Just reading the different categories was so much fun. I say Star Wars definitely can count as a trilogy bookish or not!

  11. I love this tag and found myself answering a few but it was hard. I think Middle Earth is also an excellent world. It honestly might be one of my favorites. :)
