Can't Wait Wednesday #11/ Midweek Stuff

So here's a midweek round up of what I'm reading watching, etc. Plus Can't Wait Wednesday, hosted by Wishful endings. So sit back, raise a cuppa, and see what's new! And share what you're up to.

This week my Can't Wait pick is The Lies They Tell. I read my first Gillian French book last year and liked it, so I'll be giving this one a shot.

  1. I picked up this Japanese tv series called Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories on Netflix...it's something different. The 100 is one of my favorites, can't wait for the fifth season :)

  15. I swear you pick some of the most interesting covers of books. 😂

Is Riverdale going well though? I only watched the first season and hadn't had time to continue the next season or two (if there's more than season two).

    1. Thanks!

Riverdale is on S2 and... it's okay. They've gotten a little weird this season, I still like the show, but I think S1 might have been better?

  23. The Lies They Tell looks really good and People Like Us is intriguing. I've been watching the 2nd season of Douglas Adams' Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency. I recorded it a few months ago and then forgot all about it until the other day!

  24. I've heard The 100 isn't anything like its TV counterpart. Is that accurate? Have you seen the TV show? I watched the first 3 seasons. I thought about reading the books, but I'm afraid they'll be disappointing now.

  25. I may have to try that French book. Looks interesting. Oh and I love that pic Green River. So pretty!

  26. Man! You are living my dream right now! I am dying to read People Like Us. I'd love to carve out a little Netflix time and catch up on things as well. I haven't read anything by Gillian French before, but it looks like a fantastic book. Have a great week! :)

  27. I was playing the song and didn't realize there was an ad first, and I was like "why does Greg want me to hear this weird dude talk about Airbnb?" because I am apparently confused. The actual song is good though! You are not watching The 100- at least you better not be :D - OR Riverdale! I agree that The Lies They Tell looks pretty good. Hope People Like Us is good too!

  28. The Lies They Tell sounds really good. I'm a little concerned that it's a YA mystery (I've not have much luck with the genre when it comes to this age category) but I'm crossing my fingers.

  29. People Like Us was one of my anticipated reads. I cannot wait to hear what you think. I am on the fence about the new French book. I did not read Grit, which I have heard great things about, I read another book of her's, which was ok, but I was not wowed. I am waiting to see what everyone thinks about her latest, because I do like the concept.

  36. I'll be interested to see what you think of People Like Us. that's on my TBR. I can't wait to watch Riverdale Season 2. I finished up season 1 in January, so I can't start 2 until they either restart the season on the network app or it shows up on Netflix. I can't wait to catch up!!
