  1. Gotta' love a good vintage-esque cover. The 'Hidden Staircase' cover is probably the one I see floating around the most. :)

  6. Yippy yea, Greg! I love your post!!! I so wish that I've read Nancy Drew when I was younger. Now it's just not that forceful. BUT I have a couple of them in the library at school and you should see the girls fighting over the books. They love it! Some of them are still in there original vintage covers.

I got up early this morning to do my TTT, otherwise I don't get time. Have a lekker (that means good in Afrikaans) day! 10 Reasons why reading and blogging is good for you

  10. I have never read Nancy Drew books but watched some of the series. Idk if there's anything similar to it or they just adapted it somehow? Can you tell? Thanks.

  11. Great covers, Greg! I have never read any of the Nancy Drew books, but this making me wish I had! When I was a kid I was reading The Secret Seven instead.😃

  12. The cover for The Message in the Hollow Tree is hilarious 😂 I haven't read any Nancy Drew but they certainly seem like classics!!

  13. Oh nice! That last cover is one I remember well! I remember getting a set of these way back in the day and they had that yellow top. I can't remember reading many of them. A lot of the books I read before my paranormal days are kind of a blur.

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

  17. These covers are amazing, I kinda want to start a collection now! I've been hoping to visit the market in Bristol, UK, as there's a bookseller there that sells vintage paperbacks but, pandemic. I have no idea if the market is open again, they're not active online.

  18. What an epic post. These all look amazing! Nancy Drew created my love for crime thrillers and mysteries. Go figure :)

    Here's my TTT post.

  21. These are great. This is why I love illustrated book covers. I did read a lot of Nancy Drew books a while back but then I re-read some of them and they aren't as good as I remember them, guess that's how most people feel about certain books.

    Have a lovely day.

  25. My daughter was a Nancy Drew fan but really could tell the difference between writers. She liked the writing of the person who started it with Secret of the Old Clock and The Hidden Staircase best. Can you tell the difference?

    Have a good week.

  26. I owned a couple of these as a kid and the covers are incredibly nostalgic.

  27. What a great topic for this week! I love these covers, and I had many of them growing up. Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I had to read the first of the Nancy Drew books for an English class and I really want to pick up more! I loved how easy to read they were.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Nancy Drew has such classically cool covers. Thanks for sharing them with us!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Great idea for a topic! Nancy Drew is great. Here's my TTT list this week.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I'm sure I've read a couple of these. Love this list!

    ReplyDelete
  32. These are great covers, I must read these books again!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I used to own so many of these as a kid. I wish I had kept them. I think the cover of The Hollow Oak one is my favorite. I was in a club and once a month I'd get two Nancy Drew books and the next month they'd rotate with two Hardy Boys one. Guess I've loved mysteries forever huh?

    ReplyDelete
  34. The Hidden Staircase - classic!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Nice choice of topic! My sister was the Nancy Drew mystery fan in our family! I preferred Trixie Belden, Encyclopedia Brown, and the Happy Hollisters, and didn't read many other mysteries as a child.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Ooooh, Nancy Drew!! Have you tried to show? I got one episode in and kinda never went back. I should probably give it more of a shot but... it's so hard to.

  37. My sister had some of these! I read them, but I don’t remember them very well. I love the vintage covers though.

  38. I still don't know why I never got into Nancy Drew. I can only remember reading one. I loved The Hardy Boys and The Bobbsey Twins. 👍✨

    ReplyDelete
  39. These covers are taking me back to my love for these books as a kid -- I'll never get tired of these covers!!

    ReplyDelete
  40. These covers still look great after all these years!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I had that Hidden Staircase one! I got it because Claudia from The Baby-Sitters Club was obsessed with Nancy Drew and I wanted to be like her. I genuinely can't recall ever reading it, sadly. One of the leads of the new show was on a panel with Lindsey and Richard and it sounds kind of interesting!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I must have read all of these when I was a teen, including the Hardy Boys. Still remember some of the covers, too.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I love Nancy Drew! I read them all in elementary school - and I refuse to acknowledge any but those original yellow covers. Eleanor really likes the Nancy Clancy chapter books (if you are familiar with the Kindergarten-age Fancy Nancy, the Nancy Clancy books follow her as a third grader) and Nancy loved reading Nancy Drew in the stories. Naturally Eleanor decided she also needed to read Nancy Drew, so guess who got the first ten books for her birthday last month?!
