Bookcover Spotlight #34

The Sky People (Lords of Creation, #1)

This is a book about an alternate history where Venus is settled amidst the Cold War. Interesting... I've always been partial to the pulp era view of Venus as a water world, or a swampy place where dinosaurs roam- and I think this cover image evokes that quite well. A favorite.

  2. I haven't heard of this one before but I absolutely adore this cover. I've been wanting to read outside my usual genres and this definitely qualifies. I'll have to check and see if my library has it. Thanks for sharing!

    1. You are welcome! I like this one too- a lot. Alternate histories don't always work for me, but I have to admit based on the cover alone I'm thinking about this one.

  3. That really is a nice cover image! It's not really my type of book, but the art itself if beautiful and interesting.

    1. I think so too. Something about the sun shining down, you can almost feel the humid air! Love it. I'm not sure the book will work for me either, but I might give it a shot. :)
