Sunday Post #528



This week I took the girls shooting. We shot .22's, a .38, a 9mm and a .45, plus some rifles too. They're a better shot than me! A buddy of mine has quite a few guns and belongs to a gun club. My daughter has been asking me for a while so we finally went.   

I love this time of year when the leaves are blowing- I was coming home and it was blustery, and it was like the leaves were dive bombing my car. 

Let's see, what else? Oh, I need to show this magnet I picked up at the comic store. 

And... there is now a Godzilla channel on Pluto TV.

    The image of leaves blowing about is nice but it's actually really bad for the streets as it gets everywhere.

    I like that tag line for that book cover.

    Don't know how I missed a post about cats, but it was fabulous! Starry Eyed made me think of the 80s. Loved it! Do you hunt or just target shoot? I never shot a gun ever.

    Deer season here in Texas..everyone is gearing up to make a mint..somewhere down the line. I don't think the official date is until early November.
    Oh, it has been quite a ride. Very tiring..and a lot of heat on this trip. So love seeing your Robert Plant and the amazing vintage book cover too!

    Hope you have some Halloween fun with the girls!

      I will admit I would be happy for a good hotel room. Roughing it in this old camper has an expiration date for me. I hear we were close to having snow back home and I kind of miss it. I don't like hot weather. Hope you don't have too many leaves on the ground yet.

    I'm sticking with Daryl's crossbow, just saying. Is it really warm there? Like- yes the leaves are blowing all over here, but they're doing so in 80 degree weather which is bizarre. Honestly being a vampire sounds better and better all the time 😂

    Here it's not so easy to go shooting. I went once with my husband, daughter and son and both my daughter and I were better shooters! The coach explained it's because women are more patient LOL

    I've only been shooting once. The Harley guys took us all to the range and we tried out several guns, no rifles. I was ok for my first time and only a few shots. I was/am very concerned about safety because one could hurt oneself or others without proper training and care.

    Going shooting, so cool. I need to start going, I have a 9mm but need to practice. A Gun club is cool, we just have outdoor shooting ranges around here.
    It's gotten cold here and I am not happy...lol. Hope your weather isn't to bad.

    Lost Boys is one of my favorite movies! I love this time of year too. Although we got a few snowflakes today! I would like to go shoot sometime. I have never shot a gun. My stepdad and brother hunt, and I never had any interest when I was younger. But I'd like to do it just to try it once. Hope you have a good week!

    I love the leaves falling and blowing too, it's such a short season, it seems like. Our trees changed color and fell off the tree within a couple of weeks! Hope you have a good week:-)

    We live on a street with 40 year old maples lining both sides of the street. We’ve just starting our leaf shedding season which will take most of November. People blow leaves from their yard into the street creating a narrower and narrower roadway for cars to drive on. Crazy! Have a good week Greg!

    Wow, vintage Robert Plant! Great song choice! I remember missing out on seeing Led Zeppelin in concert and by the time I did see Robert Plant it was Robert Plant and the Honey Drippers, definitely a different mood music. lol. We enjoy shooting here too. We live out in the boonies, so we can have target practice safely in our backyard. We also have a county shooting range close by. And this year for my birthday, I actually got a shotgun that I had been admiring. lol. But I'm a target shooter no animals. Have a great week!

    It's weird how you know you've heard certain song lyrics dozens of times, but then you can't place them in a song! I think I know this week's though. I love the fall leaf bombs too. We had a bit of snow yesterday as well...too soon!

    The woman's eyes on that cover are terrifying! I cannot somewhat manage a decent shot with a .22 but in general am awful. My husband has pretty much despaired of me in that respect! I'm a bit jealous of your girls! Hope you had a great week!
