I was certain it was just an accident somewhere when the house shook last night..it's been that long since I've heard thunder. So great that you got that steak! The Cheeseball was spicy and the Banana Pudding was divine! Especially, when it's made with Whipped Cream and Condensed Milk! A real dairy delight. It was brunch, but someone had to have some ribeye too.
Is songwriting a lost art? That is a very good question. It seems all the world thinks Taylor Swift is the queen, but it seems she has to use a lot of breakups for this to happen. And I don't think all of her song writing is that good. Even Miley has gotten on board with this premise. In spite of that it goes to show just how self-centered they really are, but none would notice I'm sure. I've enjoyed the work of Gordon Gano to Daniel Johnston. I even like Conor Oberst rusty voice. Of course, he's a local but many from Saddle Creek Records are far more creative in my book. Of course, radio isn't what it used to be for sounds. Now it's just for talk and hoping you'll hook up to a podcast at their site. So yes, the makeup of music is very different now than in the 70's. It was live with an epic journey and a crowd to play for.
It's always more fun to have a get-together with all the important people in you life. So I think waiting until they're all available and have a belated birthday celebration is the smart way to go:)). Have a great week, Greg - and a Happy Birthday!
