Top Ten Tuesday #259

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new Top Ten will be posted. Everyone is welcome to join. Link back so everyone can check out other bloggers' lists. It's a fun way to get to know fellow bloggers.

This week is Reasons Why I Love reading.

1) I love it when books make me think of relationships. And this one is about second chances and marine conservation also.

2) I love books that take me to another world, and preferably a futuristic world where there are so many possibilities.

3) Books that make me laugh like this one did.

4) Books that take me back to another time.

5) Books that take me other places and are twisty

 6) Books that grab me with the cover

7) Books that remind me of being a kid

8) Books that put a fun new twist on a story

9) Books that introduce me to a beloved author and/ or teach me something

  2. Agree with all your reasons, hands-down! Favorites are the ones that are twisty and the ones that make you laugh. They really are the cure for so many problems. :)

  11. That's a good one - new twist on the story. I have encountered some fantastic retellings over the years, and I really appreciate the way the author showed how timeless the topic is while showing the story to us through a new lens.

  16. #2 - yep. Still haven't read any of Becky Chambers' books but maybe someday.

#3 - I rarely come across books that made me laugh so I'm always looking for them.

#6 - Book covers are wonderful even when they are weird.

#9 - I like to know more authors beloved or not but I wish authors would stop using social media, I really hate seeing my favorite authors doing stupid things.

It's always fun to learn something new even if you forget it a week later.

    Have a lovely day.

  33. I like toe scape when I read. I have been reading heavier books (on audio which seems more like tv or a podcast so it works for me) but my favorite is to read something light & preferably funny.

That's one of the things I love the most, but my first bookish love will always be dead characters who still get to have adventures LOL.
