Tuesday Tagline #

Touch Me Not - what is with this swamp pulp fiction?!

Shanty-Boat Lovers Caught In a Rip-Tide of Passion 😂😳

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new Top Ten list will be posted. Everyone is welcome to join. Link back so everyone can check out other bloggers' lists. It's a fun way to get to know fellow bloggers.

This week I'm going rogue. I decided to go with Top Ten (or close enough) games to while away the time in quarantine/ shelter-in-place/ whatever we're calling the imposed isolation. So... game on!!

  1. I used to play Life ALL THE TIME. It was one of my favorites along with Clue. Who doesn't enjoy playing a fun game now and again? :)

  2. How have I never heard of the Lord of the Rings game?? Away I go.

In real-world options, will never get tired of Life -- I have 3 different versions, including a Pirates of the Caribbean one. You other adults can have your level 16 difficulty strategy games but I know where the real party is.

  3. I haven't played Pandemic-- but when the Coronavirus first started catching hold in late January/Early February, I did play several rounds of Plague, Inc. And I killed everyone on Earth with the Coronavirus a couple times.

  6. Board games now? That sounds fabulous.

I also think I could put together some puzzles.

  8. Ok, I've never heard of Pandemic, but maybe that hits a little too close to home??

  10. I saw this puzzle yesterday that kind of made me think of all the books you put at the top of these posts. It was called "1950s and 60's Erotic Book Covers". It was hilarious. I would have bought it if I wasn't currently puzzling with a 12 year old.

  15. Very fun! We have a couple different versions of Monopoly that we could play, if my husband ever stopped playing video games!

  16. We do board games when we go camping with family or get snowed in, but we've been hauling out the cards and board games, too. I haven't played Life in ages. We'll have to do that as one of this week's picks.

Great Top Ten Tuesday idea, Greg!

  17. The game of Life always ended in some sort of fistfight, when I played, but trouble was a lot more successful. I also love Yahtzee. That game was low drama, but fun

  18. I am currently working my fourth puzzle of the 'stay at home' order. Stay safe!

  19. I definitely need a game to amuse me at the moment... Reading isn't going well and neither is settling down to watch TV. :(

  20. I loved that you shared games. LIFE was all the rage when I was in junior high. Me and my friends would play it for hours. We used to love filling up that little car with kids - what were we thinking :)

  21. One of these days I'm going to have to the LOTR online game. :)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Life is kind of the best, I must agree! I need to work on my The 100 Sims, I have only done a few of the S6 folks, it's just so time consuming! Pandemic sounds fun too, as does Red Dragon Inn! Honestly the more drinking involved, the better at this point!

  23. I got a Nintendo Switch Lite last week when my sister encouraged me to finally take the plunge, and I have now straight up abandoned all my unread books and ARCs 😂 Haha the guilt is eating away at me but I also can't stop playing Spyro and Animal Crossing... Welp 🙃 I'll have to check out LOTR online! That dancing video is amaze!

  24. Life is such a good game! We've been hitting the Nintendo Switch games hard (thank goodness for being able to just download new games!) and I've really been enjoying hidden object games. I even dusted off my old Big Fish Games account and everything!

  25. Life is such a fun game! I don't have it anymore but now I really wish I did.

  26. I am not a gamer but this is a brilliant idea Greg!

  27. *dies laughing* I thought that cover was funny, but that LOTR gif/ pic cracked me up more!!

  28. My family used to play board games every Sunday when I was a kid! It all feels so long ago now. I need to make progress on these Harry Potter 3D puzzles but I've lost motivation at the moment!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I love board games, but I very rarely get the chance to play them (it's only the two of us at home). I didn't know of Trouble!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I love board games but seem to be the only one in my house which is a bummer. Lord of the Rings online sounds like fun!

  31. My son and his friends play Life on the internet somewhere. Ha ha. 🎲🎲

The LotR game looks interesting. ✨
