Tuesday Tagline #168

Good Girls Lie

They're expected to be perfect...

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new Top Ten list will be posted. Everyone is welcome to join. Link back so everyone can check out other bloggers' lists. It's a fun way to get to know fellow bloggers.

This week is a thankful freebie. I'm kinda pressed for time this week so I'm just going to go with books I'm thankful for- for whatever reason. It could be because it opened up a new genre to me, or because a blogger recommended it and I ended up loving it, or whatever. These are the books that have touched me in some way or that I'm just thankful I discovered. Oh, and if you celebrate Thanksgiving- happy Thanksgiving!!!

The Lord of the Rings (The Lord of the Rings, #1-3)

Bad Girls with Perfect Faces

The Shark Club

Big Little Lies

The Blue

Eight Hundred Grapes

Fangirl

Rebel (The Extinction Trials, #3)

No Exit

The Originals

The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet (Wayfarers, #1)

  1. I say it every time I see a book by Rainbow Rowell on any kind of list, but someday I really should read one of her books!! Alas, I haven't yet. Fangirl certainly sounds fun though. :)

  17. Amen to the top one!!
Funny, I read another fabulous book entitled The Blue - historical novel/mystery on the Derby Porcelain. Fascinating, and superb writing: https://wordsandpeace.com/2018/11/27/book-review-the-blue/

  18. I think we must have vastly different opinions of Rainbow Rowell ;)

The thing that bugs me the most about her writing is the stupid names. She's just using cities and town in Nebraska as character names and it drives me bonkers. Well, it is one of the many things that drives me bonkers about her books. But, I am glad you enjoy them!

  24. Ahhhhhh I love Fangirl too. It’s my favorite contemporary book and at the time I didn’t write a traditional review. I kick myself for that. I think I just related hardcore to it.

  27. Definitely Fangirl. That's one of the comp books for my NaNoWriMo 2019 book. And I was named after a Lord of the Rings character, so I can be thankful for that one too, LOL. Happy Thanksgiving!

  32. Good choice of books! I'm thankful of Fangirl for making me feel like I wasn't the only weirdo reading/writing fanfic at uni. And I love Becky Chambers books for showing me a different side to sci-fi.
