Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new Top Ten will be posted. Everyone is welcome to join. Link back so everyone can check out other bloggers' lists. It's a fun way to get to know fellow bloggers.
This week is a fun topic- books that I loved and made me want similar books.
Love your choices! A book like Jurassic Park would definitely fun though I spent enough time in the PTA circle to not need anything else like Big Little Lies!
I am trying to think of read-a-likes for the books I read, but I am terrible at that. Big Little Lies was my first LM book, and I do think a few of her other books had a similar vibe.
I really wasn't a fan of Panic, but I may check out the adaptation, the trailer looked pretty cool. My TTT: https://jjbookblog.wordpress.com/2021/06/08/top-ten-tuesday-319/
You have Backy Chambers on your list! I really need to read her work -- any work, given that all her novellas and books have gotten such good ratings. Except that they are scifi, and scifi is not my go-to genre...
The Cats of Tanglewood Forest is on my to-read list. And I definitely want more like The Long Way To A Small Angry Planet. (Luckily, there are 3 more books in that world, so...)
My TTT post hasn't gone live yet but Big Little Lies made my list this week too.

ReplyDeleteOh yes The Long Way. I still haven't found anything quite like it.
ReplyDeleteLong Way to a Small Angry Planet is a book I've shared with others.
ReplyDeleteSomeday I should read Jurassic Park for sure.

I would love to find more books like Liane Moriarty's!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I'd definitely love more soft sci-fi like The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet.
ReplyDeleteI remember when I read Jurassic Park and I was floored. I didn't know a book could be so scary and thrilling😁
ReplyDeleteI can understand how Big Little Lies would make you want another book like it. Nice choices.

I loved This Is Not a Test. I haven't read Big Little Lies but I'm still curious, as I never saw the show either.

ReplyDeleteCurious to know what happened to our friends from This is Not A Test!
ReplyDeleteI totally wanted more books like Panic and Jurassic Park after I read them. And I really loved This is Not a Test, too. Great list. :D

ReplyDeletePanic! I've owned this book for a while and still haven't managed to read it!
ReplyDeleteThe Long Way To A Small Angry Planet definitely made me crave more cozy sci-fi like it!
ReplyDeleteI have read one there, yay

ReplyDeleteGood to see Crichton on the list!
ReplyDeleteCrichton is a great choice for this list!
ReplyDeleteI love how many people have found a certain genre or author through different books. I guess, if we're destined to find it, it will find us.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my TTT earlier.
Becky Chambers is fantastic - I definitely need more books like hers.
ReplyDeleteI still have to read my Cats of Tanglewood Forrest book! 😺
