Sunday Post #49

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.

This was a good week, although a little hectic, but we are settling into a summer routine of sorts. A lot of things happening in June- hopefully July will be quieter. I  finished Shattered, the conclusion of the Slated trilogy. It was good to finish that series, my review will be up on Tuesday.

Last week I had a a lot of fun re- posting old reviews for my blogoversary. So much fun, in fact, that I'm going to do it again this week. I know, the blogoversary that never ends. :) Seriously though, there are some books from early on in my blogging that I enjoy talking about, so this week I'll be posting some older reviews again. I think I have an eclectic mix lined up, so stop by and share your thoughts if you get a chance.   Thanks to everyone who came by last week...

  1. Thanks for linking my post. I don't do discussion posts very often, so it's nice that they get noticed when I do. :) Happy blogoversary! Some people celebrate all month long. I've noticed a lot of blogs are having blogoversaries this month, and not just firsts. I guess people get out of school for the summer and decide to start a blog.

  3. Awesome cover, indeed ! I wouldn't repost old reviews, it seems that unfortunately, I have changed my mind about a lot of them - or rather, I didn't dare criticize as much as I do now ! Have a great week !

    1. Yeah my reviewing style has changed a bit I think, I've definetly noticed... some reviews I don't mind, and some I'm very tempted to redo!

  4. Wait...wut?! I thought Hawkeye and Black Widow had a thing. Maybe they're just friends with bennies? *scratches head* Of course, we know what they say about rumors though I think that would be an interesting relationship. *ponders* Yep, I like it. Just remember, I have never read a single comic, so I have no idea how it plays out in that universe. I'm going by what I've seen in the movies. :) Have a great week!

  6. Those new books look tempting...I haven't read any of them. Enjoy your blogoversary activities...it's a great idea, re-posting some old favorites.

I have too many blogs (11) to celebrate all of their blogoversaries, but I try to hit the ones that are most bookish.

  9. Huh, that's an interesting rumor about Black Widow and Bruce Banner. I'm curious to see if it ends up being true.

I still think re-posting your old reviews is a neat idea. Maybe when you're done celebrating your blogaversary, you could do one retro review a month or some such.

    1. I thought so too, not sure how I feel about that. :)

I like that idea, retro reviews are fun maybe I will do that. Could be a regular feature. Thank you for the idea!!

  10. How's the new Emilie book? I enjoyed the first one, and I've been trying to find sometime to continue the series, but haven't yet, eep :/

Oh Avenger rumour! I always though maybe it'd be Black Widow and Hawkeye haha.
The re-posting old reviews is a nice idea, since it lets new followers so old reviews they might have missed!

Hope you have an awesome week!

  13. Heya Greg. So good to see you again. I read somewhere that in the comics, Black Widow and the Winter Soldier had a relationship. I don't know about her and Bruce Banner, except for that scene in the Avengers where we see her actually look scared for the first time. I kind of liked the idea of her and Hawkeye together, but maybe that pairing was too obvious (or just physical?).
