Top Ten Tuesday #287

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new Top Ten will be posted. Everyone is welcome to join. Link back so everyone can check out other bloggers' lists. It's a fun way to get to know fellow bloggers.

This week is Books I wish had an epilogue. Alright I can go with this.

I mean this doesn't need a sequel, but I'd love to revisit the characters. Or just have more like this.

I need more of these characters- each book she writes is a unique tale but I want more from this crew.

There was a sequel to this, actually, but I'd love to revisit

This was a great book with a wonderfully compelling water planet- two books in the series and nothing since

Obviously we won't be getting more but this is a TRIP

I'm talking the show here and it was CANCELED

Kevin Hearne wrote Star Wars and it ROCKED.

Shifters

Are we ever getting this???

I want lots of these

  1. I'm starting to think we're just never going to get The Winds of Winter. I had hoped that him being isolation during the pandemic would move things along, but sigh...

  2. Aye I have those too. Some really nees an epilogue

  3. I take it the The Winds of Winter are part of the Game of Thrones series? Or not? I've only read up to the third one and really couldn't take any more....

I needed to bring my car for a service to the big city today, so I am sitting at a coffee shop and not going to do a TTT now. But The Book of Two Ways by Jodi Picoult would have been Number 1 on my list for sure today.

    Happy Tuesday Greg!

  4. I do often wonder if Game of Thrones will ever end, but maybe it's not supposed to. And maybe he's got someone under his wing, too. It's a lot like Legend of the Condor Heroes. If you read enough of it, you aren't sure how it connected with the beginning. Add different translations and it gets complicated. Truly a dilemma to think on for the week.

  5. Those are new to me ones. I found myself looking for more sequels than epilogues for this one. But same thing I guess. Lol.

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

  6. Great list! It's always so hard to say goodbye to favorite characters and worlds, and I have to admit that I doubt we're going to see The Winds of Winter and the end of that series anytime soon (if ever).

Here's my list for this week: http://leahs-books.com/2022/06/14/ttt-books-i-wish-had-a-sequel/

  7. Great picks for this week's prompt. I love epilogues and I agree, the GOT situation sucks. Especially since the hope of getting the 2 promised sequels are getting lower as the years pass...

    Have a great week🌈

  8. Are we ever getting W of W? I am beginning to think no. :(

  9. I recently read an article where GRRM stated there would be another book beyond TWOW. And all I could think was, yeah right. The wait for TWOW has been like 10 years? We'll all be long gone by the time the final book is ready. Ha!

  10. I loved those Choose Your Own Adventure books growing up. They were so much fun! I'd probably still like them now. :)

  11. I'd love to get more of The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet too! I still have to read Becky Chambers' others books but a part of me just wants more of these characters instead of new characters :)

  12. The Choose Your Own Adventure books were so fun. I always got stuck in a loop, lol.

  13. HAHAHA!! I always die when I see Winds of Winter on one of your lists because SAME. Come on, dude! I have no idea how he's going to do ANOTHER book after that one. In his dreams. lol

  14. I was a bit sad that the other Wayfarers books don't use the same characters as The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet.

  15. I read the Choose Your Own Adventure books in my youth, though, I cannot say if I read that one.

  16. I read the book of Panic and was not a big fan, was the show better?

  17. LOVE your question on the Winds of Winter. I doubt we are getting it, now that we have other prequel shows lined up too. Poor GRRM, he's given away all his trade secrets already!

And I didn't know Panic (er, the show, I mean!) was cancelled. I remember you recapping some of the episodes and the episodes seemed really cool.

  18. I can't say much about these books as I didn't read them but I guess some books deserves not just epilogues but sequels. I see Becky Chambers on your list again, still haven't read any of her books and now I'm thinking, it won't happen.

    Have a lovely day.

  19. The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet looks really good to me.

  20. I've given up on GRRM and Patrick Rothfuss. Those two just aren't going to finish their series. You've listed a few books that are on my TBR too, so I'm happy to see they were so good you want more.

  21. SAMEEE with Panic (the show). I personally enjoy my own epilogue from The 100, heh. I didn't realize that Becky Chambers' series was all different characters, that actually bums me out a bit because I recall really enjoying that bunch too!

  22. I need to read Kevin Hearne's Star Wars. :)

  23. I've got this first book of Chambers' series on my TBR for the summer and I can't wait to read it! 💜 I'm so excited to meet these characters!
