I loved these so much as a kid. Eleanor has a series she is reading right now about spooky/haunted places that are a choose your own adventure type. I think it is called 'You Choose'; there's Alcatraz, the Queen Mary, Gettysburg Battlefield, Edinburgh Castle, the Winchester Mystery House, a haunted sanatorium, the Tower of London and the Stanley Hotel. I've been reading them too, they're a lot of fun.
I think it's interesting that all of the Choose Your Own Adventure books have similar cover styles even though they're not written by the same person. I read an Indiana Jones Choose Your Own Adventure book when I was younger. I wish I knew what the title was.
I like how these covers show the adventures and make you want to pick them up.
