SciFi Month is starting in November and I almost forgot it was coming up with all my last minute Halloween posts. It is definitely autumn- ish around here now, lots of rain and blustery weather this week.
So this week was fun. I posted Part Two of Trust Issues (some of you may remember that from a few years ago) I also want to continue Emma's story which was going to be just two parts (Welcome to Haven and Safeguarding) but several people asked for more after that little reveal at the end of Safeguarding... so there will be more! Sorry to mix two stories at once... in other news, I posted a Halloween story (here). And shared my Top Ten scary comic covers.
Vertigo is such a classic, right? Love it! Yay to Fall cooler weather!👏 The blustery winds are perfect for a Halloween weekend.👌 Hope you're feeling well, Gorgeous Greg. I've been missing in action lately, but I'm always wanting to be sure that you are OK. Sending hugs 🤗 RO
ReplyDeleteIt is! And thank you! I am doing ok. I miss your posts (but no pressure)! Hope you are well!!!!!
DeleteI'm excited for SciFiMonth! I wish our weather was more fall like. It was 90 yesterday😬
ReplyDeleteThat Vertigo cover is cool.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it awesome????
DeleteFor me, the weather is still perfect, but apparently it's getting colder. November finally has its rights.
ReplyDeleteI love this weather!
DeleteI am welcoming this fall weather with open arms!
ReplyDeleteI'm liking it as well.
DeleteHave a great weekend, Greg! :D
ReplyDeleteYou also!
DeleteWhy so many amazing reading events in November? I didn't know about scifi month. It's also Nonfiction month, novella, month, and German Lit month. I can't keep up with all!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know about those!
DeleteThat Vertigo cover is great! 📚
ReplyDeleteThanks for the direct links to your stories. 🙌
Yes, fall has finally arrived here, too. I think we will have to turn the furnace on tonight. 🌬🍂
Peace and Golden Age? 😂😂😂
Happy Halloween! 🎃
Isn't it nice?
DeleteYou are welcome. Thank you for reading!
We've had our heat on for a while. It's been chilly!
I know, right?????
I've never seen Vertigo, but I really enjoyed Psycho. I think Hitchcock is so valuable to the horror genre.
ReplyDeleteI really need to watch that movie!
DeleteOoh, SciFi month? Cool! Never realized it was in November. I will try to watch more scifi stuff then!
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteLoving the fall weather this week! I've been enjoying your fiction and am looking forward to more.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I appreciate you reading it so much :)
DeleteWe had some nice cooler weather this week - might even have to turn the heat on soon!
ReplyDeleteWe turned our heat on- it's been chilly here in the evenings.
DeleteMe gustaron los videos y la potada de vertigo. Te mando un beso
ReplyDeleteYour Halloween post was a fun read.
ReplyDeleteThank you- I appreciate you reading it :)
DeleteYes, sadly I need to put my flip-flops away. Love the Vertigo cover! Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteI always hate it when I have to put the flip flops away. :)
DeleteI'm just now realizing Vertigo is based on a book.
ReplyDeleteI never knew that!
DeleteGlad to hear the autumn-ish weather has arrived, all ready to snuggle up inside with a good sci-fi book! Take care and happy reading! 😊
ReplyDeleteYes, this is the perfect time of year for reading :)
DeleteI am reading one sci-fi novella because some friends of mine are putting on a New World November challenge this month. If you like booktube they are The Bookish Bryants a husband and wife duo and are pretty fun to watch. :)
ReplyDeleteNot sure who would want to look like Kamala, yikes!
Ooh I will check that out!
Deletelol
Happy Halloween! I love the Coruscant Skyline ambience! Also, those tweets are lowkey and highkey horrifying. It would be funny if it wasn't scary, but I guess that's perfect for Halloween! I hope you have a lovely week ahead :)

Thank you! I love that too. In fact I have it on right now and just seeing the sky traffic... very relaxing. :)
DeleteYes I was... shocked
I'm excited for scifi month! I love the fall weather and we need the rain but I also need to blow the leaves and it is harder to do when they are wet.
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
I am too! even though I have NOTHING prepared and feel totally out of sorts, but hopefully I'll get some posts together. :)
DeleteBe well!
The cover looks so cool and spooky, and I love the animations. :D
ReplyDelete-Quinley
P.S. Happy Halloween! :)
DeleteThank you- and happy Halloween!!!!!!!
DeleteI feel the urge to watch Vertigo again! Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your week, and here are my WEEKLY UPDATES
ReplyDeleteI've never seen the movie!
DeleteHalloween around here isn´t a big thing. Sunday was very quiet. Not a single trick or treat here *smile* Have a great new week and happy reading.
ReplyDeleteWe had ours last night and had a ton of kids!
DeleteHappy Halloween Greg! I will have to go back to your posts this week to catch up with Haven.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week and good and I hope you will enjoy your Sci Fi November! I know it's your favorite.

Happy Halloween! And thank you :)
DeleteI'm not really a big Sci-Fi person although I did enjoy the ALien books but I feel those are more horror than Sci Fi. What do you think?
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
I think they can go either way? Both actually- SF with a definite horror vibe!
DeleteIt's pouring and very windy over here today Greg!
ReplyDeleteOoh perfect Halloween weather :)
DeleteI love the cover of Vertigo. What a great one. I almost watched that last night but went with Young Frankenstein instead. Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteOoh that sounds like a fun pick :)
DeleteLOL, things were peaceful?! Apparently none of those idiots paid attention to what was actually happening, nor realize how close we were at times to another war.
ReplyDeleteRight? I just about sputtered out my drink. Are they serious?
DeleteHappy Halloween! I hope you get some trick or treaters and some good candy to snack on as well.
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween!!! Hope you are enjoying your weekend.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea November was Sci Fi month, but I am all for it.
Not sure who thinks things were peaceful with Trump or even Obama. When it comes to handling things with other countries like N. Korea or China, I think he handled that right but this country fell apart and became so hateful towards each other. Not sure he is at fault or just how media and politics evolved.
Have a good week.
I love the cover for Vertigo and that's one of my favorite movies. I think it's one of the few movies where Jimmy Stewart isn't his usual nice guy character. Happy Halloween and Happy SciFi month! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know November is Scifi month! Wicked!
ReplyDeleteThanks!:))
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for Sci-fi Month, but yeah it sort of felt like it came out of nowhere, since October zipped by so fast. I'm not prepared at all, but I'm happy to be participating. And lol at the tweet about things being more peaceful under Trump...though in some weird way, I get that person's point. Media went from "everything is the president's fault" to "nothing is the president's fault" and uh, yeah, good luck with trying to sell the people that when there are still many real and in many cases even worse problems in this country.
ReplyDeleteYou've been busy posting. Halloween has been and gone here, I say some cute photos on Facebook of younger family members dressing up and going out. One of them got a sprig of broccoli, heh heh.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a great Halloween!
ReplyDelete"There was a noticeable peace & "golden age" feeling when he was running things."
ReplyDeleteOh, OK...was it supposed to be a joke? 🤔
I'm enjoying the fruits of your creative juices, so yes to more stories!
Now, Sci-Fi November is a concept I can get behind. But I seem to be reading a lot of mysteries these days. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the fall weather! I didn't know it was Sci-Fi month, I'm still on horror, lol. Vertigo was such an atmospheric movie! That ending! Such a great classic! Have a lovely week, Greg!
ReplyDeleteI have a Binti audiobook for November, but had to delay delivery because too many audiobooks were ready for me to borrow at once. I’m going to check out your Halloween post!
ReplyDeleteThis is Laurie C http://baystatera.com. I’m on my phone and my Google account won’t come up for some reason.
Cancel that, it did come up as me once I hit Publish!
DeleteWhen did Nov show up?! Crazy
ReplyDeleteSciFi month sounds like your time to shine! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteIt's crazy that it's November already! We've been having some pretty good Fall weather lately too, which I adore.

Yes, it was a blissfully calm 4 years under Trump lol
ReplyDeleteHave fun with sci-fi month!
Karen @For What It's Worth
I still can't really deal with the fact that it's already November. Crazy! :D
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and happy reading.
I can't believe it's November already either. I saw some posts yesterday for Nonfiction November and did a double take at the calendar, lol. Sci Fi Month should be fun. I haven't read much sci fi this year so I'll be on the lookout for new titles for the TBR. :)
ReplyDeleteI am actually glad it’s Nov 😊 is that bad? I I am looking forward to seeing what you have for Sci fi November!
ReplyDeleteI loved the movie Vertigo. But I'm pretty sure I never saw that particular movie poster, you always find the best ones!
