Sunday Post #387

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer
Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews
It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Book Date

So this past week I started a new feature- Dystopia Playlist- that will pair songs about dystopias and various other disastrous scenarios with books. Or maybe there won't even be books at times. You can see my first post here- inspired by red skies over California last year. In other news, I finally started a certain book that's been on my TBR for ages, and I reviewed a retro space fantasy. Fun stuff.

The Bookish Games continue. Also known as the bookish version of Mafia. I'm on the firing line this time- will I survive? It doesn't look promising. You can find all the chaos here.

PULP COVER OF THE WEEK:

BOOKISH LINKS

This is a nice walking tour through Edo- really cool old architecture and a neat Starbucks also.

Anybody excited about this?

Here are the red sky videos that inspired my first Dystopia Playlist post.

  10. You are so very dead, I am sorry, you can rest easy in SpecChat 😂 Are you finally reading Songs From the Deep? I think it's been on your Sunday Post for the shady side of a decade at this point hah. Tokyo has no business being THAT beautiful and fun looking, I want to go so badly! Or like, go anywhere, let's be real. Good luck with your impending doom!

  24. Indeed Greg, we may wonder if we are in a dystopia!

  25. That cover for Murder on the Orient Express is really cool, but rather misleading. It gives an oriental vibe and there's actually nothing in the book. Except for the "lady" in the robe.

Saw your dystopian playlist! Clever clever!

    Have a good week Greg.

  37. The California Fires were freakishly ominous. I live only a couple of hours from one of them when it was burning strong.

Great videos. Enjoy your new venture with songs and books.

I love that Tokyo Architecture! Thanks for sharing...and enjoy February.

  42. I'm trying, not exactly successfully, to make a dent in my owned TBR. It would take me years to get through the whole thing, even if no new books were coming into my house, but if I finish the year with fewer owned unread books than I started, I'll be happy! - Melinda @ A Web of Stories
