Hello friends. Another week has gone by and it was a pretty good week. Our Christmas tree is up and half lit- we ran out of lights thanks to some being burned out- so this weekend is decorating time! The lights outside are up though- I think everyone is holiday ready this year. Christmas lights are out in all the Japan walking tour videos, so they're a lot of fun. Well, tonight is Chinese takeout night for me, so I'm off to eat. Have a wonderful weekend!
Movies That Suck will return this week with a classic. I know you can't wait.
It does seem like everyone is more than ready to embrace Christmas this year. I've seen so many people mention that they were decorating early. I did the same. The day after Thanksgiving I went into full-on Christmas mode. :) Have fun getting the rest of the tree done this weekend! :)ReplyDelete
I'm seriously so excited for Christmas - more so this year than any other year. Everyone I see around here seems to be holiday ready as well, and I spent money like a drunken sailor on Black Friday deals last week, lol!ReplyDelete

Hopefully the rain will stop long enough for us to put up our lights outside this weekend! I've bought so many gifts, and I can't wait to hand them out!ReplyDelete
I'm ready for Christmas too. Although it also doesn't feel like Christmas, maybe it is the lack of snow. I hope you have a great week!ReplyDelete
Walking tours are great. It's been a while since I did a holiday light thing, but we have a bunch of drive thru ones in NJ should I get a wild hair.ReplyDelete
We're waiting until our kids come home to decorate, which isn't for another two weeks. Hmm maybe I won't wait, now that I think about it! Hope you have a good week, Greg!ReplyDelete
We decorated early this year so Ken could enjoy it too. I'm glad we decorated when we did.ReplyDelete
There's a Robinson Crusoe on Mars movie? Can't wait to here about that one. Hope you have an awesome weedend! :DReplyDelete
Maybe you'll treat us to a view of your Christmas decorations? 😉 The Covid situation got out of hand (again) here, so we're in lockdown (again) and we can't even celebrate Christmas or New Year's Eve properly.ReplyDelete
I'm pretty excited for Christmas even though no plans are final.ReplyDelete
Excellent pictures this week. I adore pixel and vector arts, so these are a real treat.
Christmas lights are pretty and I see trees going up in various households in my family. Kids are having a ball decorating. Outside lights go up in some places around the neighbourhood but being summer here it doesn't get dark to about 8:30-9pm!ReplyDelete
We were going to put our tree up early, but we can't find my favorite lights. 😂 I have to have my purple lights. 🎄ReplyDelete
I don't think I have seen Robinson Crusoe on Mars. 🤔
Our once a month take out day is next Friday. We usually get Chinese, but since the weather turned cold I have wanted PIZZA! 🍕
Have a wonderful new week. 🌞
We usually don't decorate for Christmas until later in December, but our house is all ready as well - apart from the Christmas tree. We're going to go for a potted tree this year, and we haven't been able to find one yet.ReplyDelete
I hope your food was good ;)
Have a wonderful week ahead, Greg.
Robinson Crusoë on Mars ! Can't wait to see what Friday looks like ^^ You always share beautiful pictures and videos, but thanks particularly for the link to Ryo Takemasa, I love it ! I even chose one as my wallpaper and sent the link to friends I know love art and Japan :)ReplyDelete
Woohoo, good job on getting holiday ready! I hope you are doing safe.ReplyDelete
I won't be decorating our house until the grandchildren can join in - it's become something of a family tradition... I'm hoping that will next weekend:)). I love the cover of Robinson Crusoe on Mars with a sticker assuring that it's scientifically authentic - lol! Have a great week, Greg:)).ReplyDelete
Lol I don't think I've ever seen/heard of Robinson Crusoe on Mars. I look forward to that post lolReplyDelete
Have fun decorating - I'm hoping we'll get out tree up today as well. Happy reading!
The Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack is played on repeat around here, we all love it. :) I hope you enjoyed your takeout!ReplyDelete
Have fun decorating, I don't really do anything but I do have a few things set up in my room but no tree or anything. I have heard of you bad movie but never watched it have fun!ReplyDelete
Have a great week and happy reading,
Week in Review
I am so excited for Christmas. I had a lights out one year and ended up getting lights I hated only to find the ones I had again and redid the entire tree. lol I hope you get your lights fixed.ReplyDelete
OMG I love the sleepy hollow picture! I want that as a poster on my wall!
I hope you have a great week, Greg! Happy Reading!
Its such fun to decorate for Christmas and I hope you have fun getting ready for the season. We have all of our stuff up here and very pleased about it.ReplyDelete
I have only my Advents plate standing on the table. All the other Christmas decoration is still in boxes. We will hopefully be able to get our Christmastree up and decorated on Christmasday. I am so glad when the year is over! Have a great new week, Greg. Stay safe and well.ReplyDelete
Love the images! And Chinese take-out, which I haven't had for probably twenty years! LOL.ReplyDelete
Enjoy your books and your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.
Ooo good to hear you and your area are all getting in the festive mood - I also started putting my tree and decorations up today. 🎄 I hope you enjoyed your Chinese takeaway and I hope this coming week will be a good one for you. 🙂ReplyDelete
Greg I think everyone is ready to put up Chrsitmas decorations and bring some cheer in this very hard year! Our tree is up as from today too ;-) Have a great week!ReplyDelete
Mmmm Chinese takeout sounds so good right now!ReplyDelete
Some of the Christmas lights in our neighborhood are pretty, some kind of look like Santa threw up, lol. Overkill. I found out our Chinese food restaurant is open again! I was so happy because it's my favorite and they were closed for a while so I was afraid they went out of business. A win! Have a great week, Greg! :)ReplyDelete
I wonder if there will be more outside decoration this year, since it's one of the few things we can enjoy while socially distancing. I hope you enjoyed your takeout!ReplyDelete
We put a few decorations outside but I think that might be all we do this year since we got rid of our tree when we moved. Bummer that your lights were burned out. I hope you have a great week, Greg!ReplyDelete
I think everyone is hoping for some early festive cheer.ReplyDelete
Wishing you a great reading week
I love all the Christmas lights. I think you are right that everyone needs this right now. I noticed quite a few houses are all decorated. It all looks so pretty.ReplyDelete
Have a great week!
OMG, thanks for making me discover Ryo Takemasa. So so gorgeous, totally my cup of tea.ReplyDelete
wow, Robinson Crusoe on Mars. Thanks for your weekly dose of exoticism, lol
Mmm...it's been awhile since I had Chinese takeout. You're getting back to Movies That Suck makes me think that it's good to set goals for our blog. It's gotta stay fun, right?ReplyDelete
Wow! Love that Japanese walking video---so pretty!ReplyDelete

I've never been huge on decorating, but I love seeing other people's. Happy reading!ReplyDelete
Sleepy hollow! I miss that show -- that art is *chef's kiss*ReplyDelete
Oe wow! That Sleepy Hollow Graphic is gorgeous! Love it. I don't have outside lights. Not many people do in SA. It will just get stolen! No jokes!!ReplyDelete
But believe it or not, my tree is still standing and Elza is still behaving like a good girl here.
I've been hectically busy last week and today wasn't much better. But I will get to the blog a bit more this week.
Hope you are having a good one!
I think people are definitely read for Christmas early this year... This year has had so much suck that twinkly lights and cheesy tunes are definitely needed to balance it out.ReplyDelete
Hope you enjoyed your chinese takeaway! Now I really want one...
I haven't given Christmas a thought yet. I really do need to get the tree up before Christmas Eve this year. Come see my week here. Happy reading!ReplyDelete
I love that many of your art and video posts are all Japan/Japanese related. <3ReplyDelete
My outdoor lights bit the dust so we had to replace those but we got everything up (indoors and out) now.ReplyDelete
People are going crazy with the lights this year but I think we all need it.
We spent the weekend decorating too. I can't decide if I'm in the holiday spirit or just ready to tell 2020 to get lost, lol.ReplyDelete
Love, love, love Christmas lights, and sure hope you post a pic of your Christmas Tree for us to admire. Hope you're feeling well! Hugs, ROReplyDelete
That was us a couple of years ago, half a tree lit up. We have all our decorations and lights up as well. The tree sits right next to the desk I use for work when I'm working from home--and I've been keeping the twinkling lights on even during the day. My family and I have been enjoying seeing all the outdoor Christmas displays on our evening walks.ReplyDelete
I hope you are having a great week, Greg!
I've never seen or even heard of that film! That's probably a good thing!ReplyDelete
