Sunday Post #496

I had a few comments on a post from ten years ago this week! Granted, I linked the post on my Cover Love posting but hey details ha. At any rate- can you believe ten years? I guess I hadn't realized this was ten years, or how much older content probably no one has read.

In other news LaLa does healthy snack box unwrappings and she was awesome enough to share her link-so I'm going to be doing some snack box unwrappings/ reviews at some point.

Here is this week's lyric.

I was so lonely until I met you
Told myself I'd get by without love

Here is the lyric f/ last week and the answer

We can dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
They're no friends of mine

PULP COVER OF THE WEEK:

Remember my 2 for 1 musical posts? Yeah, I know- it's been a while. It sort of merged with my Song of the Week (Monday) posts. Songs that were traditionally played back to back by radio stations.

  1. I look at the views each week for my blog to see what older posts are getting some views. It's interesting to see what poeple are reading.

  3. I also get amazed sometimes whenever I get a comment on an old post out of the blue just how long I've been blogging!

We did have a Reuben last night (Earlier I had my shamrock shake and i didn't add anything to it..I would have if it had been an eggnog shake..(✿◡‿◡)) So it was a very low-key St. Patty's day. We have had a bit of snow..and wind and cold. 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🍀🍀🍀💚💚💚💚

  6. I have to say, The Safety Dance is one of my all-time favorite songs from the 80s. :D Thanks for the flashback.

  7. I didn't recognize this week's song until the chorus. You got me! That's kind of fun to see someone appreciating your work from ten years ago. The only comments I get on old posts are spam

  8. I love music from the 70s and 80s but The Safety Dance was not a favourite of mine. I do like the trip down memory lane though….

  9. I'm going to have that song stuck in my head for the rest of the week! I can't even remember the last time I heard it but it seems I somehow have stored most of the words in my brain. Wonder what useful information that I could be remembering if it wasn't for that! Have a great week!

  10. I've been getting some random comments on older posts recently. Granted, most are spam, but a couple have actually been real comments from people. It amazes me what people find and comment on sometimes.

  11. The Safety Dance - that takes me back to my teenage years!! I haven't blogged for a while, but decided to stick my head back around the door. Have a great week! :)

  12. If I get comments on super old posts it's usually spam. Hope yours weren't spam!

  13. It seems to me that I started blogging yesterday, and it's been over 10 years :)

  14. I love the Safety Dance! Lol. That spring lofi is so cute!

  15. That's funny about the comment on the old post, and also its hard to believe some of the posts are that old right? My blog is 8 years old and it doesn't feel like it's been that long.
Enjoy your books this week, the snack reviews sound good.

  16. That is cool that someone seen a post from that long ago!

  17. I was doing so well with the song lyrics, but this week has me totally stumped. Have a great week!

  18. I should link to some posts of mine from 10 years ago too then LOL. (It's great that people commented...it shows that they care about you!). We started in the same year...I wonder why it took so long for us to became blogging buddies!

  19. Hmm, healthy snacks - what a concept! As I sit here eating cake and drinking coffee, ha!

  20. I get from time to time comments on older posts as well. Unfortunately, most of them are just spam *lol* But I am happy, that one of your older reviews got a comment. I hope it was a nice one. Have a wonderful new week, Greg.

  21. I often think that old content is unknown to our new followers Greg. But that's amusing.

  22. I close comments on older posts because of spam, but I do link to older reviews so when reviewing a new book from the same author so people can check them out.

  23. Honestly, it always feels so good when older posts get some love from readers when you least expect it! Them snacks unwrapping posts sound intriguing. I'll have to look out for those haha! Happy reading, Greg! :)

  24. The pulp cover actually made me lol at what looked like the guy in the background and his hands out in what seems like a "what?" pose. I rarely see comments on older posts, and I think a lot of time they might end up being spam. I know some people close them, but I don't because sometimes I link to those reviews and I'd like to see someone comment on them. Have a great week!

  25. Your song of the week is totally unfamiliar to me - guess I missed that one. Another fun pulp cover - and that tag line, "all she wanted was more and more often" pretty suggestive! Totally fun.
    Have a terrific week.

  26. When I got comments on older posts, it was always spam so I have turned off comments after 60 days or something like that. We just have a couple nights ahead of freezing and then it's supposed to by mid 80s later in the week. Which is almost too hot. I'm ready for spring though.

  27. I've been getting comments from older posts this week, but the comments were written 10 years ago, too. Suddenly they are coming up as spam. It's just weird. Hope you have a great week!

  28. I only get spam on old posts lol

I'm curious what the plot of Sex Schedule is. Is there a problem with her wanting more and more? Is she an alien, a murderer????

  29. I'm with Karen...only spam on old posts. I loved listening to The Safety Dance when it first came out. It's on repeat in my Spotify list.

  30. Looking forward to snack box unwrappings and reviews!! I love a good snack.

  31. I've considered updating and reposting old posts that no one has seen.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I don't get comments very often on old posts, but there are a couple that do seem to get comments from time to time. I'm always like "Oh I forgot about that post!"

  35. Woah this post reminded me that I'll reach ten years of blogging in 2024. Time flies!

  36. The answer isn't showing up for me on my iPad (just a blank space). I'll have to look on my laptop when I get home. I think I hit the ten-year mark last June, and I think I had set a reminder to do a blogoversary post, but of course, I still didn't do it! Maybe this June, for 11 years.

  37. You and I have both been blogging a long time! I had a blog too before my current one. I'm coming up on 20 years soon!

  38. Congrats on ten years! I love the idea of healthy snack boxes.
