Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week is a rogue topic for me- I am going with a favorite artist-
Roger Dean- to celebrate 300 TT's. Dean's worlds have enthralled me since I was young- I love his album art and they have inspired my stories as well. One of the recurring themes you may see below are the almost mushroom shaped towers- the album art for Asia Alpha (second pic) inspired the setting for On The Run.

The third image might be my favorite- I can imagine going to that world, the glassiness of the seas...
Congratulations on 300 TTTs!! That's amazing. These are all so beautiful!! I like the second one the best
ReplyDeleteI really like that 4th picture. It reminds me of the Magic set for the realm of Zendikar, where all the lands are broken up and floating around.
ReplyDeleteThese images are so surreal! Love them all
ReplyDeleteI really like all the pictures;
ReplyDeleteThese are all a little trippy. The pictures remind me of 1970s rock band album covers
ReplyDeleteI do like all of these and can appreciate how different they all are.
ReplyDeleteFabulous artwork. Love the colors.
ReplyDelete#4 is my fave, but they're all very cool. 300 TTT is impressive! I'm at 40 this week. :) (we all have to start somewhere, right?)

Love the mushroom-shaped towers. They remind me of fairy homes. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, those images! I love the surrealism and the vivid colours. The first one is definetly my favourite, what a beautiful landscape!
ReplyDeleteYay for 300 TTT, congrats! I love this art - the second to last one is my personal favorite.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! The art you shared is so cool. I love Dean's imagination! I can see why they've inspired you. Happy 300 TTT posts! :D
ReplyDelete300! I don't even know how many I've done. I should count them up one day. Congrats! Also, those images are stunning!!
ReplyDelete300! Impressive! I love all of these images. The colors are so stunning and there's something about each one that makes me want to look a bit closer.
ReplyDeleteThese are pretty wild. I like the serpent picture and also the owl one. The artist has a good imagination.
ReplyDeleteI'm reminded of the equally stunning cover illustration of the 1984 edition of the Martian Chronicles.
ReplyDeleteOh very interesting illustratioons darling
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, thank you for sharing these! I like the 3rd one alot.
ReplyDeletewonderful images..... excellent art works.
ReplyDeleteWow! Congratulations on 300 TTT posts! That is awesome!! I have not been keeping count of mine and now I kind of wish I had.
ReplyDeleteI remember the Asia covers (the one with the serpent as well), but not the Yes ones (I googled them and realised that the 2nd-to-last pic was used for one of them too). My fave art piece is N°4. Ah, the good old days when records were big and you could have a painting on the cover.
ReplyDeleteThese are all so amazing! I love the snowy one with the owl, and the dragon one right below it. Very cool. :D
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous! I always love when you share them! And wow- three HUNDRED TTTs?! That is impressive, my goodness!
ReplyDeleteThese are all stunning. The third one is my favorite. I love the colors and the water imagery.
ReplyDeleteDean's art certainly provoke some thoughts. No. 1 is the one I like the most.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day.
Congrats on 300 TTTs! The third and fourth images are my favorites. That's surprising because I'm not a fan of snow. I guess I can appreciate it as long as I'm not trying to drive on it.
ReplyDelete☺ ☺ ☺
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 300!
ReplyDeleteI was curious how many TTT there were, and I found out it was 640 so far. Amazing. I have no idea how often I have participated.
These pictures are definitely enthralling, thanks!
These are fantastic. I love this artist as well😁
