Sunday Post #486

Wow- what a week. Every night I just get home, want to read, and sleep. Not blog. and honestly it's been nice not to have to worry about that.

Last week's lyric was popular- there were several guesses that were on and some people even looked it up! Here it is.

This week - can anyone place the song?

It's a song about desperation. Every now and then we do get desperate.

Oh and I got this.

   Song of the week

PULP COVER OF THE WEEK:

  1. It is nice to take a break and regroup sometimes. I still like videos and music you come up with. Good as a remedy for mundane life

  2. There are days when all I want to do is read and sleep, too. Have a good, relaxing weekend, Greg! :D

  3. Hopefully this week won't be as tiring. Have a great week.

  4. Yep, sometimes blogging becomes a chore instead of a fun hobby and that is the perfect time to step away. That's what I tell everyone but do I listen to my own advice? Ha! and again I say Ha!
    I probably should though ;-)

Hope you have a relaxing weekend.

  5. I know this bad too. Is this a "deep cut"? I didn't recognize it.

  6. I feel the same way. I just want to go to bed.

  7. I get tired of blogging sometimes and I'm retired. I can't imagine doing it and a job too. I love the little character guy.

  8. Oh, I'm glad you are doing OK. And getting in some reading. Hopefully, your weather has been good too. Still, I have had enough snow to last me..and I know it hasn't been that bad. Hope you have a good weekend. Eat something yummy ❤️

  9. Reading and sleeping are the best! I hope to do a lot of both this weekend.

  10. I take it work is particularly taxing right now? I can so relate to your only wanting to read and sleep (though I feel guilty when I don't review LOL). I hope you get some respite!

  11. Sometimes a break from blogging is necessary, especially when you're exhausted. It's nice to put everything else out of your mind.

  12. It's always nice not to worry about something, anything.

I don't know either song. Who's that angry guy? He-man? Tarzan? George from George of the jungle? The Beast Master? Those are the only shirtless men I know.

Pulp cover of the week - there's no image.

    Have a lovely day.

  13. Unplugging from blogging/social media is very good for us sometimes!

  14. I can't exactly recognize that funko pop! Is it Aquaman?? Cool nonetheless!

    ReplyDelete
  15. I can relate to just wanting to read and sleep after a long day. Nice relaxing playlist you shared. I don't recognize the funko pop, is it an elf?

  16. Oh boy do I understand the not feeling like doing anything but reading and sleeping at the end of a long day/week/month/year lol -- it's why I was absent from the blog these past 3-4 months. Oh and I LOVE Journey! Great song. My favorite is their version of Who's Crying Now.

    Have a great week Greg!

  17. I’m not seeing your complete post Greg. I’m seeing big empty space after lyrics and no pulp fiction cover. Not sure why. Have a great week.

  18. Yes, sometimes blogging takes up way too much time! Hope you're enjoying your evening reads! :)

  19. Cool funk pop! I was hoping things would calm down after the holidays, But still busy as ever. I do hope to take some down time soon. I can't even stay to read more than a few pages of a book before the sound of it hitting the floor wakes me up. LOL

  20. Love that frowning toy. Is that supposed to be you?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Bloggin is giving Greg, and sometimes, we don't have anything more to giv and just want to read. That's not bad, that's just life. I hope next week will be easier!

  22. This weather makes me want to just hibernate quietly as well. Reading and sleeping on these gray days and early dark nights? Totally get it. I hope all is well otherwise!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Don't blog if you don't want to! This is for fun!

  24. Love the music. It nice to listen to in the background.
    Have a great week.

  25. Aww beautiful character! I think he's one of the dudes from Aquaman, right? I can't place his name though.

I have no idea about anything music-related, unfortunately. I am particularly unskilled in this area, ha ha!

It sounds like an exhausting week. Take it easy, ok? Remember to give yourself a break when you need it, there's no shame in that. Look after number 1 first :)

Have a great week ahead x

  26. I can relate to the lack of blogging motivation and the desire to just read and call it a day. And I always roll with it. :) Journey was such a powerhouse band. Love them.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I sure know that feeling. There are times I'd rather just read or watch something and forget about the blog. Sometimes a break is refreshing. Hope you have a great week!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Yeah I didn't feel like doing much else this week either!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Miss the pulp cover - no image. There are no rules on blogging - if life gets in the way or you need a break, that's totally okay!!! We all need a break now and then.

  30. I need to figure out a good balance for blogging/creating videos/editing with life. Sometimes it's nice to not do anything. :)

Have a great week and happy reading!

  32. Sometimes it is a lot to get the blogging in. Is that Aquaman? Nice. I hope you have a lovely week.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yes it was a rough week for many with back to work and out of the holiday break and relaxing. I have more balance all the time but I still almost never get to the tv shows I'd like to watch. I hope this week is better.

  34. Since the holidays, I've been struggling to get back into the blogging groove.

    ReplyDelete
  35. My week was like that too. I had a few blog posts already scheduled going into the week but today is the first day I've felt like blog hopping or writing anything new for the blog. Hoping this week will be better for us both. :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Totally understand, Greg. Blogging can feel like a chore if you don't step back occasionally 😁 Hope you have a good week!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I have been there more often that you can imagine! Take breaks when you need them. I love that song from Journey!

  38. You're not alone! The first week of the year, I always feel like that!

    ReplyDelete
  39. We all need time away. Glad to see you back.

  41. I hear ya! It's definitely that time of year where it's hard to find motivation to do anything.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Sometimes it's nice to just take a break. I'm on the computer all day for work, so a lot of weeknights, I just want to unplug!

  45. Sounds like you have been really busy, take care and only do what you really want to do!!

  46. If you're not in the mood for blogging, then you don't need to. We all need some time off. :) Just enjoy reading!

  49. It was nice not to have to think about writing a post, indeed *sigh*. Felt weird between the years and the first week of the new year. Ah well... Happy new year, Greg and happy reading!

  50. Is that Aquaman?
I’ve no idea as to the song lyrics, I have pretty narrow musical tastes though.

Wishing you a great reading week

  51. I can totally relate about the not blogging part, Greg. It's good to take a short break so our mind is refreshed when the blogging mood is back. Hope you've a great week!

  52. I know the feeling. I felt that way for quite a while this past fall and early winter. I just didn't want to turn on the computer once I got off work each evening. I hope you have a great week, Greg. Enjoy your reading and don't worry about blogging.

  53. Gregg Rolie. Great singer and pianist. Great song.
