Hello friends. Another week has gone by and it was a pretty good week. Our Christmas tree is up and half lit- we ran out of lights thanks to some being burned out- so this weekend is decorating time! The lights outside are up though- I think everyone is holiday ready this year. Christmas lights are out in all the Japan walking tour videos, so they're a lot of fun. Well, tonight is Chinese takeout night for me, so I'm off to eat. Have a wonderful weekend!

Movies That Suck will return this week with a classic. I know you can't wait.

  1. It does seem like everyone is more than ready to embrace Christmas this year. I've seen so many people mention that they were decorating early. I did the same. The day after Thanksgiving I went into full-on Christmas mode. :) Have fun getting the rest of the tree done this weekend! :)

  2. I'm seriously so excited for Christmas - more so this year than any other year. Everyone I see around here seems to be holiday ready as well, and I spent money like a drunken sailor on Black Friday deals last week, lol!

  3. Hopefully the rain will stop long enough for us to put up our lights outside this weekend! I've bought so many gifts, and I can't wait to hand them out!

  4. I'm ready for Christmas too. Although it also doesn't feel like Christmas, maybe it is the lack of snow. I hope you have a great week!

  5. Walking tours are great. It's been a while since I did a holiday light thing, but we have a bunch of drive thru ones in NJ should I get a wild hair.

  6. We're waiting until our kids come home to decorate, which isn't for another two weeks. Hmm maybe I won't wait, now that I think about it! Hope you have a good week, Greg!

  9. Maybe you'll treat us to a view of your Christmas decorations? 😉 The Covid situation got out of hand (again) here, so we're in lockdown (again) and we can't even celebrate Christmas or New Year's Eve properly.

  10. I'm pretty excited for Christmas even though no plans are final.

Excellent pictures this week. I adore pixel and vector arts, so these are a real treat.

  11. Christmas lights are pretty and I see trees going up in various households in my family. Kids are having a ball decorating. Outside lights go up in some places around the neighbourhood but being summer here it doesn't get dark to about 8:30-9pm!

  12. We were going to put our tree up early, but we can't find my favorite lights. 😂 I have to have my purple lights. 🎄

I don't think I have seen Robinson Crusoe on Mars. 🤔

Our once a month take out day is next Friday. We usually get Chinese, but since the weather turned cold I have wanted PIZZA! 🍕

Have a wonderful new week. 🌞

  13. We usually don't decorate for Christmas until later in December, but our house is all ready as well - apart from the Christmas tree. We're going to go for a potted tree this year, and we haven't been able to find one yet.
I hope your food was good ;)
Have a wonderful week ahead, Greg.

  16. I won't be decorating our house until the grandchildren can join in - it's become something of a family tradition... I'm hoping that will next weekend:)). I love the cover of Robinson Crusoe on Mars with a sticker assuring that it's scientifically authentic - lol! Have a great week, Greg:)).

  27. Some of the Christmas lights in our neighborhood are pretty, some kind of look like Santa threw up, lol. Overkill. I found out our Chinese food restaurant is open again! I was so happy because it's my favorite and they were closed for a while so I was afraid they went out of business. A win! Have a great week, Greg! :)

  28. I wonder if there will be more outside decoration this year, since it's one of the few things we can enjoy while socially distancing. I hope you enjoyed your takeout!

  29. We put a few decorations outside but I think that might be all we do this year since we got rid of our tree when we moved. Bummer that your lights were burned out. I hope you have a great week, Greg!

  36. Oe wow! That Sleepy Hollow Graphic is gorgeous! Love it. I don't have outside lights. Not many people do in SA. It will just get stolen! No jokes!!

But believe it or not, my tree is still standing and Elza is still behaving like a good girl here.

I've been hectically busy last week and today wasn't much better. But I will get to the blog a bit more this week.

Hope you are having a good one!

  37. I think people are definitely read for Christmas early this year... This year has had so much suck that twinkly lights and cheesy tunes are definitely needed to balance it out.
Hope you enjoyed your chinese takeaway! Now I really want one...

  38. I haven't given Christmas a thought yet. I really do need to get the tree up before Christmas Eve this year. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  39. I love that many of your art and video posts are all Japan/Japanese related. <3

  40. My outdoor lights bit the dust so we had to replace those but we got everything up (indoors and out) now.

People are going crazy with the lights this year but I think we all need it.

  41. We spent the weekend decorating too. I can't decide if I'm in the holiday spirit or just ready to tell 2020 to get lost, lol.

  42. Love, love, love Christmas lights, and sure hope you post a pic of your Christmas Tree for us to admire. Hope you're feeling well! Hugs, RO

  43. That was us a couple of years ago, half a tree lit up. We have all our decorations and lights up as well. The tree sits right next to the desk I use for work when I'm working from home--and I've been keeping the twinkling lights on even during the day. My family and I have been enjoying seeing all the outdoor Christmas displays on our evening walks.

I hope you are having a great week, Greg!
