Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new Top Ten list will be posted. Everyone is welcome to join. Link back so everyone can check out other bloggers' lists. It's a fun way to get to know fellow bloggers.

This week is those books I want to read again (or maybe experience for the first time). This is a fun one. There are so many books that just leave an impression on us, or evoke that sense of awe. I tend towards SF/ fantasy but also thrillers and whatnot, so the sense of mysteriousness is always a win for me! So here are my picks, just the books that came to mind off the top of my head. All have that something- that mysterious sense of wonder- that I love so much.

This series is an absolute trip.

I never get tired of this story.

I love this extended story- the Aldebaran cycle and the spin offs, this one particularly.

There's something about experiencing the novelization of favorite stories. As a kid I read these and it was so cool to get a written version of the original Star Trek stories. Looking back on these now, they're a little detached and maybe dry? But still a trip.

One of my favorite scenes.

It's been a looooong time since this came out, but the previous book had been too so I couldn't wait to dive into it. And whatever GRRM's issues are, this is a badass read.

This is an oldie and I loved it as a kid.

  1. Nice picks! I've always been curious about Martin's books. Maybe someday. My daughter just starting watching the TV series, but hasn't read the books.

  2. Oh The Long Way, yes I'd love that. Maybe a rereading group ;)

  3. I've wanted to read the Game of Throne books, but the price tag is too steep, especially for that many books. Any book by Ursula K. Le Guin is worth reading again.https://pmprescott.blogspot.com/2020/12/ttt-books-i-want-to-read-again.html

  4. Great list! I still can't decide if I want to read the Game of Thrones books, but I don't think I want to make a start on it until the series is finished... whenever that might be.

  11. Nice list of books. Most titles are new to me. I don't normally read much sci-fi or fantasy.

  13. I don't think I could reread a GRRM book. They're too long -- no matter how much I've forgotten!

  14. I really should give Game of Thrones series a try. The books are soooooooo long. I rarely reread books so this was a hard list for me to create. My TTT Books I want to read again list

  18. I loved Panic. I'd read that one again. :)

  19. I loved the first book in the Becky Chambers series. I need to read the rest.

And are you ever right about the Star Trek novelizations! Loved reading those, way back when.

  20. I am not a re-reader, but I can understand if you enjoy revisiting something that really left an impression on you

  21. Becky Chambers is on my end of the year TBR actually :D Glad to see it on a reread list! https://readwithstefani.com/books-i-want-to-read-again/

  22. I still need to read Becky Chambers. I don't typically re-read but I think GoT would be a great one. I'm sure I missed so much the first go around.

  23. Panic! Every time I see that book, I think "man I need to read it." Seriously, I want to (and if you would reread it, I need to!)

  24. I think when the release date of Winds of Winter is released, people will start rereading the series. It's a hefty investment of time to read it beforehand though!

  25. To think that I'm into sci-fi and I still have to read LeGuin (except for a short story in an anthology).

  26. What a mix of books! I will say that by the time the nest book in the Game of THrones series comes out I think everyone will be rereading to refresh themselves, mostly to remember what happened because I know I can’t remember what happens in the books compared the series.

  27. I just don't feel like I can re-read Martin because the books are so long! I really enjoyed Alex + Ada, which I just may have heard of on here. I want to read the Oliver and Long Way to a SAP, which STILL has tons of holds at my library.

  28. I definitely need to read most of these for the first time, haha! Golden City seems so neat, I'm captivated by that cover.

  29. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Star Trek books, especially the older ones. I can't get enough of them! <3 And I adore you for putting them on your list!

  30. GRRM made my list as well! I have to put re-reads of that series on hold at least until I deal with about a thousand other books to read for the first time! Erk!!!

  31. I think it's time for me to reread Panic. I remember loving it when I first read it. My heart was beating so fast! It's such a thrilling novel.

  32. I definitely want to re-read all of the Chambers books! 📚✨

  33. I love this! I've been on the lookout for some good science fiction, so this post couldn't have come at a better time for me.
