This week is characters Id name a pet after. Nah. Nice topic but not feeling it. And since I've got a bunch of scary comic covers I never got to in October, I'll use those instead- so here, as an encore, are spooky covers!
Gosh I love these old style comic covers, always nice for a nostalgia kick! The "fright" theme is great too!

Lol, I saw the covers, then scrolled up to read the topic and my jaw dropped until you said, "nah" I was like what kind of pet does Greg want?🤣 The covers are awesome!
ReplyDeleteThese covers are all great!
ReplyDeleteI love these covers. Do you own them all? I had a lot of fun this week creating my list because I've had a lot of pets named for literary charactersMy TTT List
ReplyDeleteAmazing covers. I couldn't get into the topic this week either, although I could have give the top ten pet names of the dozens my family had.
ReplyDeleteI love this post!! I've got a crate of Doctor Strange and need to check if this one is in there :) Have an awesome week!!
ReplyDeleteOh yes That Dead's Mens Escape was creepy for sure.
ReplyDeleteBack then I was reading Fantastic Four, Spiderman, Thor, Captain America, X Men. Wish my Mom hadn't thrown them away. https://pmprescott.blogspot.com/2020/11/ttt-111720.html
ReplyDeleteWhat on earth is going on with that crocodile in Something from the Swamp?! You never fail to find the best covers!.
ReplyDeleteOh nice topic and picks! Some of these are pretty creepy based on how realistic the situation can be! Like that last one! Monsters are scary for sure, but humans can be far scarier!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)

ReplyDeleteCreepy covers but oh so fun! I love IT, the thing that wouldn't die!
ReplyDeleteI always love how much detail there is on comic book covers!
ReplyDeleteDr Strange might actually work for a pet name!
ReplyDeleteAs you can guess, I DID do the TTT as I have a pet or two named after famous characters.
Here's my TTT: I was named after
These covers feature all the great scary creatures out there.
ReplyDeleteYou find the coolest vintage covers, Greg.

ReplyDeleteThese are some pretty cool covers! I am always in awe of comic artists.
ReplyDeleteI've wanted to read Marvel comics for years but the world is so vast that I don't know where to start. Here is my post-https://paigesofbook.blogspot.com/2020/11/top-ten-tuesday-pet-names-taken-from.html.
ReplyDeleteI remember picking up copies of Weird Mystery Tales. Used, of course. lol.
ReplyDeleteThese covers are so much fun!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are all such fun covers! And any reason to prolong spooky season for a bit longer is a good reason :D
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! These definitely qualify as scary covers. LOL Thank you for sharing, Greg.
ReplyDeleteThese are so awesome! The Dead of Night cover reminds me of a book my aunt had when I was little. I don't remember the name of it but it had a face and maybe a hand coming up from a grave. It scared me to death!
ReplyDeleteOne of these days I need to start reading Doctor Strange. :)
ReplyDeleteYou've been quite the TTT rebel lately. 😁
ReplyDeleteI love these covers. 👏👏👏✨
No pets? What is this malarkey Greg, I came here for the pet names! 😂 those covers are absolutely ghoulish!
ReplyDeleteI love these creepy vintage covers!! And may I say I like your topic better? Well done, Greg ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm finding that too many of the TTT topics mean spending days hunting through pages of Goodreads books to put together a list, and I have neither time nor energy for that!
ReplyDeleteI had to go in my own direction this week, too, but this is so much better! I love this style of cover, and these are amazing.
ReplyDeleteJack the Ripper just gives me the chills, I blame my mum for watching the Michael Caine film about it when I was young and impressionable!
ReplyDeleteThese are all so great I can't even pick a favorite. :)
ReplyDeleteLoving these retro comics covers! That Scary Tales one is brilliant, I love it. And the Monster Hunters one I could totally seeing that being a really cool film (or cheesy Supernatural episode, either will do).
ReplyDeleteFor the original topic - not books but Ripley is named after Ripley from the Alien movies. And Indy for Indiana Jones, and Fonzi for...the Fonz of course lol
ReplyDeleteYou always find such interesting covers.
