This week is books with colors in their titles. I wasn't sure how I wanted to approach the topic and as I was pulling covers I ended up almost making this an all- Tintin post! But I restrained myself (who knew they had so many colors in their titles?) and included a few others, as well.
Oh fun! I love Sisters of the Vast Black, such a good one. I want to read Golden City, too. And who knew Tintin was such a fan of color titles?!
ReplyDeleteI confess I thought this one would be WAY easier than it was. But perhaps the struggle came because I decided to limit myself to only books I owned!? :)
ReplyDeleteDR Seuss! A classic! Great list!
ReplyDeleteMy Top Ten Tuesday
Hi there! Love the Tin Tin covers! I wanted to use Dr Seuss's Green Eggs and Ham, but rather did an art lesson. LOL Here's my I see your true colors
ReplyDeleteWow, seeing these Tintin covers is giving me massive nostalgia feels! I didn't even notice how most of the titles had colours in them 😅 Great list!
ReplyDeleteThe Sisters of the Vast Black sounds an intriguing title and I remember Tintin fondly! Thanks for sharing.

Haha TinTin is all about the colors ;)
ReplyDeleteYou TOTALLY should have used all TinTin books! :D That's so awesome...I never even realized how many TinTin books used colors in their titles until you pointed it out.

ReplyDeleteLove that you included One Fish, Two Fish. I had that book memorized when I was a kid. It drove my parents crazy. :D
ReplyDeleteYou definitely should have made this a Tintin post, I think the covers are amazing! There's a cafe in my town that has giant posters of the covers upstairs, they look really cool.
ReplyDeleteVee_Bookish, YA Book Blogger
Interesting mix up there. I never realized Tin Tin had some many colored titles.

ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Tintin! I haven't read those in ages, and never did track them all down, only a few. Did you see the movie? I thought it was fun.
ReplyDeleteHere's my TTT post for this week!
I loved Lucy Clarke's other novels, but I still need to read The Blue. And as a Belgian, I find it very nice you used some Tintin books for this :D
ReplyDeleteCrap I forgot TinTin too, when I did my list I forgot so many including A Clockwork Orange.
ReplyDeleteI love TinTin, it was on Netflix the original series but they’ve taken it off before I had a chance to watch.
Great list Greg!
You did a good job! I think this is a tough topic.

Such great choices this week!! I really was shocked at how many books I had with colors in the title.. just on me "READ" bookshelf on Goodreads!
ReplyDeleteYou have a very nice, varied selection here, Greg! :)
ReplyDeleteWow what a list! You obviously love Tim & Struppi stories as the Tintin books are called in Germany. Love it. Happy reading and stay safe and well.
ReplyDeleteI thought there might be a few Tintin books sneaking in there!
ReplyDeleteI think the Tintin covers are fun, haven't read any of them though. Strange, I've never read a Dr. Seuss book, maybe it's not strange, there are tons of children's books I haven't read.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day.
Fun topic and I have read NONE of these! It's funny that a lot of the books don't have covers that match the color in the title!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list! I didn't realize how many books with colors in the title there were until this topic, lol. :D
ReplyDeleteAn all Tin Tin list would have been fun. :)
ReplyDeleteThat cover on Sister's of the Vast Black is beautiful! I can't believe I've never read or seen Tintin, it feels like I've missed out on a right of passage.
ReplyDeleteHaha who knew Tin Tin was so fond of colors? Love them though! Also love the cover for The Blue.
ReplyDeleteOMG Greg! You featured Lindsey and I national hero: Tintin!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish! Dr. Seuss is awesome. :)
