Sunday Post 475

This was an interesting week. It's really starting to look like fall too- I love it when the leaves are swirling and it's like they're divebombing your car. I have lots to share this week. Below is a classic Laurel and Hardy short- I used to laugh so hard at these. I think my dad introduced me to 'em. If you can watch this without cracking up, well... I can't. :)

Also this week I reposted a favorite Movies That Suck. Here's a cameo. I'll have one this week too.

Oh, and a clip from ANOTHER Movie That Sucks. This is, you know, perfect for Halloween.

Oh, and I sorta binged One Of Us Is Lying S2.

  1. I'm glad fall is falling into place for your October. We have had some chilly starts and then some really warm days too. But no rain. Unfortunately. Thanks so much for the clips. I found out a new animated movie, The Legend of Hank is based on Blazing Saddles. Thanks for the medieval lofi..just what I need this Friday.

Have a good weekend. And thanks for the comments too!

  2. How could anyone not laugh at Laurel and Hardy? They're hilarious. And I love watching the leaves fall, too. Enjoy your weekend! :D

  4. I love Fall so much. I'm sitting here with the windows open, enjoying the fact that heat & humidity are long gone.

It was a thrill when I finally got to climb the Music Box Stairs in L.A. Those stairs are all over the city and a guy mapped them all out into a book of "Secret Stair Walks" you can do. I've done all but a few of them with my friends and various MeetUp Groups.

  6. I had forgotten how much fun Laurel and Hardy are. I had a little bit of a duh moment. For some reason, I was expecting Abbott & Costello.

After that opening sequence of "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown", I always wonder where Linus' blanket is when he carries/rolls the pumpkin home. LOL.

  7. That Laurel and Hardy clip was a lot of fun! You don't see that kind of physical humor much anymore.

  8. I loved Night of the Comet. I found it campy fun. OMG. There are leaves everywhere. They keep blowing in the door, but yes, still pretty

  9. I love it when the leaves are swirling around too, so pretty. Did Laurel and Hardy do the movie Babes in Toyland? I used to love that movie when I was little. I might be confusing them with Abbott and Costello though.
    Enjoy your reading this week!

  11. I'm not a fan of fall. I love summer, so this time of year always makes me sad.

But I do love It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

  12. I loved watching Laurel and Hardy. It was usually with my Grandfather.

  13. Enjoy the falling leaves! I have read suggestions to let the leaves lie on the ground to form mulch and fertilizer for lawn and garden. I'm going to try it.

  14. It's looking very autumnal here in England too. The trees are a lovely mix of orange, red and brown. I wish it wasn't quite so wet and stormy, though.
I love Laurel and Hardy. I used to watch them a lot with my Nanny and Grandad. Comedy geniuses.

  17. We have a lot of leaves dropping too and the colors are really starting to turn. So pretty! The temps have dropped about 20 degrees as well. Love fall.

I loved Night of the Comet as a teenager! I've watched it several times. Should do a re-watch and see how it holds up. Need to watch One of Us is Lying. The book was so good!

  18. It’s horribly humid here, I was hoping Spring would be mild.

Wishing you a great reading week

  19. My dad was the one who introduced me and my sisters to Laurel and Hardy as well. He still cracks up so much when he watches them. And yeah, I do too. We're finally getting fall weather here too. But then this weekend it was back in the 80s. At least the trees are turning pretty colors! Hope you have a good week!

  28. I love the falling leaves too - falling conkers hitting my car whilst I'm at traffic lights not so much. Thank goodness I wasn't actually moving as I'm sure I would have swerved it made me jump so much.

  41. I love this time of the year, but the leaves are on the cusp of falling now and soon the trees will be bare. Once the time changes it'll be even more depressing with how early it gets dark, so I'm definitely enjoying the fall while I still can!

  42. The leaves always stops falling when I want to take a cool vid, dang leaves

  43. Our trees are probably at their peak right now, but I haven't had to turn the heat on yet! 😁
