Sunday Post #459



Hello friends and welcome to the weekend. I seem to be back on track with posting lol- this week I posted a LOT. Kinda back to normalcy? And my commenting woes continue. I see a lot of your comments are still being flagged as spam, and I don't know why. Some are regular commenters. I'll keep trying to catch those but thank you for comments! 

This week I decided to rewatch one of my favorite shows- Travelers. I'll be recapping/ reviewing the episodes too, which'll be fun. I did that for season three a couple years ago but never did for seasons one or two, so it's fun to dive back into that show. And I started Hotel Portofino as well.       


Now as to when I'll get these posts up... that's the trick. I have a set schedule, roughly, for the week but maybe Wednesdays?

    Aaaand I'm back! I hope I'm not going in Blogger jail after all these weeks 😂.

    I looked up Travelers, and it sounds so good! But I don't have Netflix, so...

    Good luck with those average vague plans LOL.

    I've been having the same issue with some comments going to spam. Not a lot, but it's still happening. I'm not sure I remember Travelers so I'll look forward to your recaps. Hope you have a great holiday weekend!

    It's really odd for google to start sending everyone off to spam purgatory. Especially commentors who have been around a while...

      I survived on my 2 drink margarita..although, later I was thirsty from all those driveway fireworks with the sun beating down on me and made the mistake of drinking a Cherry Pepsi and was practically awake for the whole night. Fast forward to Sunday, I went back to bed at 9 in the morning and slept hard, leading me to the strangest dreams that a may or may not talk about. Hope your 4th weekend is going well.

    I've been having trouble commenting on people's blogs, so I apologize if I missed any posts this week! I need to check my spam filter, too. Oh, man, I forgot about Travelers! That was a good show.

    I loved Travelers too. I'm sad there's not going to be a fourth season. I really want to know what happens after, lol.

    The whole comment/spam thing is really annoying, isn't it? My comments will disappear randomly, even when I've seen them published. I wish blogger would fix whatever problem they created when they switched everything around. Hope you have a great weekend, Greg! :D

    I've never watched Travelers, but it sounds fun. :D
    I'm also having that commenting issue, though it seems it does not only happen when comment moderation is turned on, but with commenting in general. I hope we both find a way to fix it.

    I’m starting to notice the that more legitimate posts are going into the spam filter using Wordpress too Greg. I must remember to go in daily and go through them. I’ve never watched Travelers but I’m going to see if I can find it here. Have a great weekend!

    I haven't seen Travelers. I think I may have started but never got into it. I can't remember - it would have been a few years ago now...

    Technology gets on my nerves. I am only 32 but when it comes to tech I am at least 92!

    I am having trouble with spam as well. I also am having trouble posting on some people's site. It tells me I need to sign in to Google (which I am always signed in) and then tells me I still have to post anonymously. It's annoying. Have a great weekend!

    I have to check my spam folder every morning because there are always a few comments in there that I have to publish myself. A lot of bloggers are having the same problem.

    Congrats on getting back to normalcy, Greg! Sorry to hear about the commenting issues. I get my comments moderated beforehand and sometimes regular comments do get defaulted to spam. It's one Blogger issue for sure!

    The vintage pulp cover is very cool. I love the color. Yep, it's frustrating when people who've been visiting your blog for years end up in the spam folder!

    That's always the problem isn't it? You have these great plans, but you have these other things to post as well and you set this schedule... Good luck figuring out when to schedule the posts, and enjoy the rewatch.

    I'm having the same problem with spam comments and I can't figure out why. Even after I approve them they end up in spam for some reason. Hope you have a great week and Happy 4th!

    I hope my comments didn't go to jail, but now I have switched to the Google Chrome browser, and I am able to comment.

    I hate it when real comments get flagged as spam. I have been dealing with a ton of spammers on my blog. I finally had to figure out how to block one individual. I hope that you are having a great week!

    Spam and trouble commenting seems to be a roaring theme right now. I try to check periodically. I'm still only watching a few cooking shows with my daughter. I just can't seem to find the time for any more tv even when it sounds great. I hope you are enjoying your holiday weekend.

    I have the same problem with Blogger. I can only tell if a comment is spam or not when I go with my mouse over the signs section in the right corner of the comment. It is annoying. Wishing you a happy 4th of July weekend. Enjoy it.

    Great job getting back on track! I had to laugh at "Are your plans always this vague?" Mine are often that vague... or specific and detailed but don't get carried through. Oh, well!

    The SF book covers you've been posting recently have been taking me back to my childhood and teen years. Not the specific covers, but the artists and the styles. I used to scour used bookstores for the fantasy and SF authors I liked, so even when the covers predate me, I was seeing covers like them in those stores.

    Travelers sounds like a good show but I'm always weary of time travel shows. Changing the past always seems a tricky business.

    It's always so strange to me when regulars start going to spam. Sometimes it seems like the spam filters just decide willy-nilly to put someone in commenting jail!

    I had some issues with comments. It said they should be there, but when I checked, they were not. I reset everything and that seems to have fixed it. Happy reading this week.

    I just checked my spam filter and found 15 including one from you. Only 3 were actually spam. I'll have to remember to check it more often.

    I occasionally have those spam issues as well. Regular posters suddenly getting dumped into the spam folder. No idea why but it's definitely frustrating.

    I am still SO salty that Travelers was canceled. I mean, okay, it *kind of* wrapped up, but... there could have been a whole other 3 seasons! Ugh. I will be interested in your posts though! Sorry about the commenting issues, that is so frustrating! LOVE the Expanse/Shumway GIF too heh!

    A lot of blogs I follow seem to be having issues with their comments lately, and it's not just blogger, wordpress seems to be acting up as well. Glad to hear you're getting back into the rhythm of things, I hope to do the same! I'm reading more now at least!

    I had issues last week with comments going to spam from people who have regularly commented. I'm not always great at checking the spam folder on Wordpress either, then I feel so bad that I missed the comments.

    I noticed that I've had lots of comments, even from regular commenters, going to spam recently too. So weird. Why would that happen across platforms? Unless the different platforms are the problem...
