Sunday Post #451

So this week was quiet. I did stumble across the short Youtube film below- seriously, this is great.

In other news... I actually don't have any other real news.

    1. I know I keep pushing on. Although, I have many tell me all the time the things I should be doing, but we all have our own path and what we want to do. So remember that. I have done a couple of things on my to do list this weekend..well, actually one thing I have gotten done. I made waffles.

    2. Oh, I hope you are having a good week. The humidity has found us..and it doesn't help much that our AC is broke..what a way to start after Mother's day..but hey..at least last weekend was nice. Hope you are reading something good.

    3. We have jimmed something up. Who knows how long that might last. As always, someone has his own way of doing things and sometimes it works. It is interesting that you asked is Alfie from Sweden, when a foreign exchange student from Sweden who visited did not look like your typical Swed. But in Alfie's case, his grandmother is Swedish.

    4. P.s...are you familiar with James Duval from Detroit? He was in Donnie Darko.

  3. Blogging is definitely hard work. The only reason I can keep up the pace I do is because I schedule things in advance so if I have a couple of days where I just don't want to write, I don't have to :-D it also helps balance out those days where I can't seem to type enough and I end up banging out like 6 posts in one afternoon!

Hope you have a good weekend.

  5. Sometimes, even though you have everything ready to go, you just don't feel like pushing the Go button. I totally get that. That's how I felt for so long. That's why I stopped blogging for 3 years. I hope you find your mojo again. :)

  6. Sometimes you just need a quiet week. Life is stressful right now. Hope you have a good weekend!

  7. I had a quiet week as well. I just enjoyed life, and didn't do much at all.

  8. Maybe you didn't publish your planned posts this past week, but the good news is that you have posts ready to publish when you want to. A good thing. Aquatic sci-fi. Hmmm, trying to think of my experience with that, and all I can think of is Atlantis.

  9. I had a fairly quiet week as well Greg. I love your sense of humour in this post. Have a great week ahead.

  11. The YouTube short film looks interesting, maybe I'll give it a try. I've been having a hard time motivating myself to actually write posts, or post them. Maybe a lot of us are just in a blogging funk right now with everything that's going on.

  12. The dinosaur images are amazing, I do love speculative art. Some weeks you just need a break from it all and at least you found the film short!

  13. Quiet weeks can be good! 😁

I will watch the film later today. Thanks for sharing the link. 🐋🐳🐋

    I love dinosaur art. 🦕

Have a wonderful new week. 🌞

  14. Telling ourselves we should be doing something too often makes us dread doing it! You'll get your groove back.

  19. I have been considering downgrading my blog because I just don't post as much as I use too and paying for hosting is just a bill I don't need. I have been doing more on youtube lately.

Have a great day and happy reading!

  20. I love the drawing of the cops and dinosaurs. I'll have to show that one to Baby Brooklyn when she wakes up. She's currently obsessed with cops AND dinosaurs. Have a great week!

  21. We all deserve a break sometimes. I've been on a 6 month hiatus. So it takes baby steps to get back.

  24. Maybe next week will be the week you get back on track Greg? Hugs!

  27. I've come to realize that blogging is like cycling. You need to keep peddling to not fall off the bike! BUT rest stops are good as well and vacations even better.

Most of us are not going anywhere...

  28. Have I asked you about Steve Alten's Meg books yet? I feel like they'd be right up your alley if you haven't read them. And he's creating a new online world that seems like something you'd enjoy the videos and such too. I get what you're saying. I'm so busy at school right now when I had books that didn't work for me this week and so I canceled the tour spots, I just enjoyed not posting anything, took a break. Hope you have a better week! Thanks for visiting my post at Lisa Loves Literature earlier!

  30. Quiet is awesome. It gives a person time to relax and read and dream and plan. I did a bunch of planning this week because it was so hot outside upper 80s. Now it's 50 but this week will be a nice 60-70 and I've planned for it!

  37. Wait so you have other posts finished but have not posted them!? I... cannot wrap my head around this concept! I just never have any, full stop 😂 I need to watch that movie, but not right now because I want to watch The Wilds. Love the picture of the dinosaurs too, so realistic looking!

  38. Yeah, some weeks are like that, lol. I'm really curious about the Oceanus video. I'm definitely bookmarking it for later😁

  44. I keep on taking blogging breaks all the time. I don't seem to manage six months straight without slinking off for a while. Take the time you need and don't feel guilty.
Ill have a look at that short film later, it looks interesting.

  47. Best laid plans and all that. I was going to get on track last week with blogging and it didn't happen. I also intended to get lots done at the weekend... and didn't. We can try again this week and see what happens.

  50. I lefty this reply on my blog but thought you might not see it lol "Did you finish Outer Range??!! What did you think? I didn't like it, overall, but I loved Brolin & Taylor. Then that ending?? Loved! But it changed how I viewed everything I saw before it so now I'm not sure that I didn't like it?? Knowing what I know now. Lol"

  51. Sounds like you had a nice week, and I love short films, it's so neat to find ones on YouTube. (One of my favorite finds from searching on YouTube for a short film, was a short animated film called Scattershot).
