Sunday Post #448

I did not read much this week because I've been spending most of my time, err, in Middle- earth. A game which shall remain unnamed (alrighty, I'll mention it below) is taking up most of my time. So what is happening? I possibly may be craving Chinese. And Dorothy will be here this week so I'm ready for a good concert

I decided to share a few images from Lord of the Rings Online including me at a campsite somewhere between Bree and Shire, assorted ruins and some revelry.

  1. Oh, Dorothy will be here too..soon. I haven't been to a concert in ages, but I am sure it will be a soulful one. And it will be a much more intimate setting here than my favorite stomping ground for local concerts (honestly, I hope during the pandemic they had a chance to get a good sound system). I hope you can make it to that concert you mentioned. Hope all is well in Middle Earth too. I hope it will inspire you with fan fiction as well.

Of course, I am sure I am amusing myself for the most part in what I find to write, but oh well. Looking forward to your Paris Apartment review.

  3. I'm feeling hopelessly out of touch but I've never even heard of Dorothy. Is that a newer act? Looks like you're having a great time with the Middle Earth game.

  4. How dare games distract us from reading? 😂 I play arcades from time to time - mostly Super Mario clones. Have fun at your concert!

  5. Enjoy your concert. The last one I went to was in Sept. 2017. Maybe I'll be able to go again to one soon. :)

  8. I love Chinese food, though the popular dishes in the UK are very different to the dishes you find in the USA. Have a great week!

  9. Sounds like you've been having fun. Have you reached Rivendell yet?
I don't know Dorothy but then I'm sure I'm a lot older than you, so probably out of touch. Have a good week.

  12. I didn't know there was a game for that! I had been addicted to Guild Wars but since our router died it's too much strain on the internet via our cell plan so I had to give it up :-(

    Love Chinese food!

  13. I love when you get totally absorbed in a new game so don't feel bad you're not reading. Enjoy it! Hopefully I find myself hooked on a new game.

  17. WAIT!!!! HOLD ON!!!! YOU'RE GOING TO GET TO SEE DOROTHY?!?!?! I'm so jealous. I hope you have a great time!

  18. Googles Dorothy. Is it this? Dorothy is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2014. How come I've never heard of Dorothy??? Especially since Rolling Stone deems them a band I need to know! I'll fire up Spotify later and check them out.

Mmmm Chinese!!!! I wish our one and only chinese place delivered, but they don't, and I'm too lazy to go get some, but then again I might, since we have nothing in the house for Easter dinner.

  20. LOL, enjoy your travels to Middle Earth. Sometimes you need to enjoy other outlets. I binged the Karin Slaughter Netflix series. (season 1) this week.

  21. I don't play video games but my daughter does. I'm not sure I'm ready to go to concerts yet. Maybe an outdoor one but not if it's crowded so no big stars. I've been learning to cook Asian food at home. So far I've got chicken pad thai and chicken or shrimp fried rice recipes we are happy to eat. I seem to be overall on a binge of trying new recipes.

  24. The LOTR game looks really cool! I like the pictures, since I've never seen it and didn't know what it was like :-)

  25. Looks good. Too bad it's just for PC, though. I'm a console gamer, so I guess I'll end up giving Elder Scrolls Online a try in the near future.

  26. Mmmm, Chinese sounds delicious. I haven't had it in ages. I don't do much with video games beyond Mario Kart on my phone, but that LOTR game looks very cool!

  27. I've watched the Lord of the Rings and I bet my kids would rewatch it too. Takeout Chinese is a no no for us right now. We're on a low salt, no fat diet!

  28. I haven't read much the past few weeks since I've been in Paris. I think that's a good excuse. I think yours is excellent, too.

  29. I didn't get much done this past week. I did read and wrote a book review though. Have a great week!

  32. I am not a gamer but I can understand how you can get lost in it form small minor games I used to play on my computer!

  33. I'm glad I'm not the only person who didn't know who "Dorothy" was. I mean, I hear Dorothy and I think The Wizard of Oz! Anyway, I hope you have a grand time at the concert! - Melinda @ A Web of Stories

  34. Enjoy the concert. I haven't been to a concert, other than the symphony, in ages... even before Covid. 🎶

  36. Ooh, I've never heard of this game before but it looks fun?! I forget to read when I get sucked into the world of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (even after completing the game three times LOL)! It's good to take a reading break for gaming sometimes 😉 Hope you have a great week and enjoy the concert!

  37. I'm glad you're having so much fun in LOTRO. That's one game I miss and would love to get back into, if only MMOs weren't such a time suck!

  38. Sometimes we just need to spend time in a game instead of a book :) It looks great, I can definitely see why it's so fun!

  43. Being in a campsite between Bree and The Shire sounds pretty ace to be fair, so I can't understand why this game has taken over for you! I also spent a fair part of my time this week growing flowers and catching grass hoppers on Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. 😅 Take care and I hope you find a bit of time for reading and Star Trek in the coming week. 🙂

  44. A concert! Wow, I cannot remember the last time I enjoyed a concert - I hope you had (have) a blast - you said this week so I'm not sure if you've been to the concert yet. And enjoy Middle Earth - sometimes escaping this earth is the best plan ;)

  45. Enjoy the concert! It's so awesome to be able to enjoy things like that again.
