Top Ten Tuesday #247

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new Top Ten list will be posted. Everyone is welcome to join. Link back so everyone can check out other bloggers' lists. It's a fun way to get to know fellow bloggers

This week is places I'd love to live.

The WayfarerI

A universe I'd love to live in, where interstellar travel is common and imubots keep you healthy, where modders can enhance themselves w/ cybernetic tech and vastly different races live side by side.

Piloria

 Rivendell

"Elrond's house was perfect, whether you liked food or sleep or story-telling or singing (or reading), or just sitting and thinking best, or a pleasant mixture of them all."

Dinotopia

Mars from the John Carter books. A world of ocher sea bottoms and decadent cities, of barbarian hordes and airships.

The world of the Green Star

Tatooine - maybe just a visit

Riverdale. I mean yeah

Retro Venus. Perhaps a gleaming spaceport are the only signs of human civilization on such a world, but who knows what adventure could be found in the swampy interior, or in a ruined city festooned with vines shimmering in the humidity, or even beneath the waves of a storm tossed Venusian ocean?

Altair-4

From Forbidden Planet.

Here's a cool scene where Dr. Morbius shows his visitors the Krell wonders- the great underground city/ machine that runs constantly and can make any thought a reality.

  1. The places I feature today are definitely visiting spots or places! Most aren't places I can imagine living, but hey, visiting is fun, too. :)

  2. Oh yes living on the planet in a closed and common orbit would be kind of awesome!

  4. Dinotopia would definitely be interesting. And outer space.

  5. Oh Dinotopia! When I was a kid, I wanted so BADLY for it to be a real place.

  6. OOh nice picks! Though I'm not so sure I'd want to be where the dinosaurs are. I watched Jurassic Park too many times for that to be a good idea. Lol.

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

  13. I think I'd choose to live aboard the Wayfarer, too. Wouldn't it be great to be able to travel all across the universe?

  14. I would love to live in (or at least visit!) Rivendell, it sounds so lovely. Riverdale would certainly be interesting--I guess you'd never really know what's going to happen, haha

  15. I've visited where they filmed Rivendell in New Zealand! It was obviously gorgeous because all of NZ is, but honestly was pretty run down which was a little sad. I didn't go to Hobbiton but I did climb Mt. Ngauruhoe (Mt. Doom)!

  24. You chose some interesting places there. I'm just not the fantasy person, so I didn't even think about any non-real places. But I love your choices, have heard of quite a few.

Thanks for visiting my TTT earlier.

  25. LOL. Your choices are out of this world -- literally. :)

Aj @ Read All The Things!

  31. I loved the books but I'm not sure I'd really want to live in Piloria! I do agree with Rivendell. A great place to read in peace!

  32. Rivendell - oh yes please.
Ad, Tatooine, definitely for a visit and maybe a stay if Han Solo was sticking around!

  35. Rivendell would be so cool!
Interstellar travel scares me (the take off/landing *shudders*) but it would be super cool to see other planets etc.
I don't think I'd survive long in Riverdale...
