These covers evoke such good memories. The books in this series were the 1st I ever read! So I credit Keene (and my mom who taught me to read on them)for my love of reading!
The Nancy Drew covers are my very favorite! There's a store on Etsy that has pillows with the old covers on them and they tempt me regularly. I don't remember this one at all. Maybe it's time for a reread?

I'm kinda fascinated by the older editions of Nancy Drew (and Hardy Boys too), as I've read that Stratemeyer revised them to make them more current. So I don't think I've read the original text of the ones I've read, and that bothers me a bit. I'd like to experience the originals.
And yes, I love that cover you linked to! So much better- with the ski jumper, and the moon in the background. Great cover, and I've never seen it before...

ReplyDeleteI should re- read some too as I only dabbled in this series and didn't read that many. And those pillows- how awesome would that be? :)
DeleteNancy Drew has the best retro covers, I am going to try and get my kids reading these books so I can enjoy them again.
