This weeks topic: Something(s) You've Won
This is a fun one this week. I used to say "I never win anything" but that's not actually true. In the few years I've been blogging I've won a fair share of giveaways and whatnot. This past fall for COYER I won some swag from a Twitter chat, and I won a nice scarf from Book Snob a while back. I've won a few git cards as well, including three in the last few months. And... I got this baby from Deb at Readerbuzz this past fall, and it turned out to be a great read!
Probably the biggest thing I've won though is a trip to the Omni Rosen (now known as the Rosen Centre) in Orlando. It was part of a package I won through a store drawing- I just dropped a card in the box and voila! Imagine my surprise...

DeleteWow that is awesome! Congrats! I always used to say I never win anything as well. But I've won a decent amount of books in the past few years, so I guess I'm okay at winning those. LOL! I'll take it. ;)

DeleteHa ha ha, I think the Orlando trip trumps everyone else's wins! That is more than fabulous. And about the Across the Universe question on my post. I don't like romance, so this trilogy is safe. There is some romance, but it is infrequent and mild. :)

ReplyDeleteA trip is always a great prize. I hope you had fun. I've been wanting to go to Orlando so hopefully one day we can go to Universal and Disneyworld. I also enjoyed Eight Hundred Grapes so that is a great prize too!

DeleteOh WOW, a trip!?!?! That is AMAZING! Like you, I rarely win anything (except the occasional book, of course!) so hopefully my vacation is right around the corner ;) Did you go on the trip yet? I hope it was amazing, or will be amazing :D
ReplyDeleteI know, it was awesome. I'll take a trip to FL LOL. The moral of the story is- if you see a drawing go ahead and enter, why not? I just dropped the card in there and was quite surprised to get the letter in the mail!
DeleteNice! Winning something as big as a trip must be ridiculously exciting. Well, you know, those kinds of things seem impossible to win with so many people entering, but I always say, someone's gotta win! Was the trip good? Even winning the small stuff is so fun though and really makes your day or even your week.
ReplyDeleteSo right, I never thought I'd win LOL. It was a throwaway thing, I never enter those. It was a nice trip, got to see some family down there and hit Disney. Nice hotel too. :P
DeleteTotally agree, I'm kinda surprised how much stuff I've won- the gift cards, a book or two even a mug LOL. Who knew there was so much swag in book blogging? :)
