Comic of the Week has been on a long hiatus but I wanted to bring it back since I've been reading graphic novels and comics again. Every week I'm going to showcase a comic or GN cover- could be old, could be new- and share a few thoughts on why I think it's special. Do you like what I picked out? Let me know in the comments, and as always, if you have a favorite cover or piece of comic art, let me know!
This week is Nancy Drew #1.
I really am torn on the idea of any series that I have loved being turned into, or continuing, in comic form. Buffy is a prime example. As far as I am concerned, the show ended with season 7 and I refuse to acknowledge anything else. I loved Nancy Drew as a kid, so I don't know how I would like these much either.
ReplyDeleteI need a new comics series.
ReplyDeleteI find it fascinating how Nancy Drew seems to just be endlessly adaptable. I grew up with a borrowed suitcase of the old (really old, like, pre-1960s revisions old). It's been a comic before, but I'm still looking forward to this new iteration.
ReplyDeleteCheck Nancy out! This looks so good! I used to read the books as a kid. Maybe I'll have to pick this up!
ReplyDeleteThe artwork is really cool! 🎨
ReplyDeleteMore Nancy Drew - I HAVE TO READ IT NOW!
ReplyDeleteOh, this looks cool!
