Top Ten Books on my Fall TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week a new Top Ten list will be posted. Everyone is welcome to join. Link back to The Broke and the Bookish so everyone can check out other bloggers' lists. It's a fun way to get to know fellow bloggers.

This week is Top Ten Books On Our Fall TBR. This prompt came at a good time as I'm sorta disorganized on what I'm reading in the last part of the year, so this gave me a chance to sort of take stock.

Ringer (Replica, #2)

I liked Replica a lot.

Barbary Station (Shieldrunner Pirates, #1)

I have hopes for this.

Warcross (Warcross, #1)

Probably already read this by now.

There's Someone Inside Your House

Yes please.

Everything But The Truth

What are they doing in the boat?

Into the Drowning Deep

Speaking of boats... don't fall out! Killer mermaids!

Anything You Do Say

This isn't due til 2018, so I'm cheating.

LIFEL1K3

More cheat.

One of Us Will Be Dead by Morning

I'll try it.

Fragments of the Lost

Megan Miranda seems to publish a lot of books. Like the sound of this.

  1. Great list! I definitely want to read Into the Drowning Deep this autumn too - I loved Rolling in the Deep, I can't wait to read about more of Grant's killer mermaids - and There's Someone Inside Your House sounds really fun. Have you read Final Girls by Riley Sager? You might enjoy it if you're interested in reading There's Someone Inside Your House. =)

  2. This is a pretty cool list, and some of those titles are downright frightening and intriguing at the same time. The thought of Someone Being Inside Your House is a real attention grabber. Hugs...RO

  4. Not familiar with any of these except war cross. A book about killer mermaids does sound intriguing. I also like the cover for Fragments of the Lost.

  11. Fragments of the Lost sounds really good to me. I saw There's Someone Inside Your House awhile back and added it to my YA TBR. I hope you enjoy these as well. Great list!

  13. Those look like some great reads for the fall! I've been into thrillers lately, I'll have to check out Everything But The Truth.

  17. You reminded me how little time we have left this year. And there are still so many books I want to read! Although Warcross didn't make my list, it is one I hope to get to before the year is out. Someone Inside Your House and Everything But the Truth look like good ones. All of these titles do, actually! I hope you enjoy them, Greg! Thanks for sharing.

    1. Yeah that one might be flying under the radar a bit- but I hope it's good??!?

  22. This is one of my favorite prompts too. I don't always get to all the books on the list (okay I never get to all the books on my list) but I do like sitting down and focusing on it a bit. There's Someone in the House looks amazing as does the Megan Miranda and Everything But the Truth.

    1. I like it too! I think all three of those look promising- I guess this is the year of the thriller for me.

  23. Ringer and Warcross are on my TTT too. I love Lu and I want to know where Oliver is going with the Replica story. I had the Perkins book on my list, but I am a little put off by the reviews I am reading. Maybe you will love it, and change my mind.

    1. This is my first Lu and I'm looking forward to seeing where she takes it. Ringer I'm looking forward to as well...

  24. Bar code eyes--- that's really creeping me out! I might have nightmares!

  25. I really, really want to read Warcross! I normally don't read scary stuff, LOL, but I love Stephanie Perkins, so I want to give There's Someone Inside Your House a shot. Plus, it sounds like a perfect Halloween read!

    1. Warcross is okay so far but not wowing me. But I have a ways to go. :) And I agree- I'm hoping There's Someone is kinda scary, just in time for Halloween. :)

  26. How about you read Ringer and tell me how urgently I need to read Ringer? It's just so big. I hope Warcross was great! I agree, Fragments of the Lost looks really good, too. Hopefully There's Someone Inside Your House will be good too- I feel like I have heard mixed things? Nothing wrong with cheating- who knows, maybe you'll find early copies :D

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Okay! Ha ha I just imagined Romy and Michelle when I wrote that. "Okay" all perky like lol. Warcross is... okay, but it's early. I'm struggling a little, which is odd. And yeah there's Someone does seem to be getting mixed- I'm just hoping it's kinda funny along with scary??

  27. It looks like you have a great fall lined up. "There's Someone Inside Your House" This has been the year of straight forward titles. I love it. :) I think "One of Us Will Be Dead By Morning" is another one.

  28. A nice mix of reading. I have to admit I am intrigued to see what Stephanie Perkins is going to do with a scary/thriller type story!

  29. I saw that cover with the barcode eyes and just had to look it up - you didn't leave any author information so it wasn't easy! ;-) But as soon as I found the book on goodreads, I went gah, I did not know that Jay Kristoff will have a new sci-fi book out in 2018?! Thanks for the heads up, this one is totally added to my reading list!

  34. I didn't know that Seanan McGuire/Mira Grant was releasing a new book, I'll have to check it out!

    ReplyDelete
  35. The Mira Grant one sounds cool! I just found out today that she is Seanan McGuire :D Time to read one of her novels soon, I hear so much about them and mostly positive things.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I've been wanting to read something by Mira Grant and I think this is a new series?

And did you see the new cover for the next Murderbot Diaries - Artificial Condition? That doesn't come out until next year but I'm excited about that one.

  42. I'm so excited for Warcross and There's Someone Inside Your House, but unfortunately it'll be a while before I get to read either of them. And I've put Life Like straight onto my TBR because that cover is so creepy cool.

  43. Warcross and There's Someone Inside Your House are on a lot of lists this week. Into the Drowning Deep look good to me. But I'm in the middle of a two month long read along for Shattered Worlds right now.

  45. Good grief look at all the comments you have on this! There are some awesome books on here! I'm really interested to see what you think about There's Someone Inside Your House. It sounds awesome and right up my alley but I've seen some people didn't get into it so I've been on the fence. I want to read Ringer too but it's such a big book and I don't have time for that right now haha. Fragments of the Lost sounds really interesting!

    1. I think I'm going to read Someone next! I'm hoping for a good, scary read (maybe campy too?) so I'll let you know how it turns out! Ringer I'm kind of looking forward to, but yeah it's a chunkster.

  46. I'm so excited about Warcross and There's Someone Inside Your House as well! And I really should read Replica soon :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. I think I've mentioned once or twice how much I love Oliver :D ;-) so Replica and Ringer are a MUST for me. I think I'll check out the killer mermaids one too! :)

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'm curious about Warcross and of course, Stephanie's. I read that it's not creepy by comparison to Scream (which I've not seen), so I'm hopeful, it'll be more mystery than horror/creepfest since I'm not a fan of either - but I do like Stephanie's writing!

Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland, Greg. :)

  49. I am not going to be reading any of these, so I will be looking forward to what you think of them. :)

  50. I really want to read There's Someone Inside your House, I've heard it's veeeeery creepy !

  51. Warcross is getting a lot of buzz. I'm starting to wish I had requested it. Some of these others are interesting too. I wish I were more comfortable with scary/horror-type books, because Mira Grant's killer mermaids sound intriguing... but I think I'll stick to her Seanan McGuire books for now. (Not that I've read one yet, but there are several on my TBR list... though not my top 10.)
