So everyone likes a little romance, right? My first post on this topic was fairly popular, and since then I've discovered some more goodies, so here we are- round three of romantic comics. I should say "romantic" maybe with the qualifier that some of these are... well, maybe iffy. I noticed in my first post too a lot of people saying "I would have read that" as a kid or whatever, so I'm curious- which of these would you read???
Let me know in the comments which ones you like!
I lost the one that's just like, "He's lying, I know he's got someone else!" Lol. Also how the guy is holding the girl on another one even though it's her wrist that's sprained. These are cracking me up!
ReplyDeleteI know! All the dialogue on the covers too.
DeleteThose are such old covers, I love it! Can’t go wrong with Archie!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, glad to hear you like Lisa Jewell’s Girls in the Garden. I have been gobbling her books up and have that one on hold. Hope to get it this month.
I really liked Girls in the Garden, totally made me a Jewell fan!
DeleteThose old covers are a hoot!
ReplyDeleteAren't they? :)
DeleteOh my, some of these are hilarious! I'd love to check them out. :)
ReplyDeleteWow! Now I see why we needed women's lib. Where do you find these gems?
ReplyDeleteThese are so great. I love the one with the girl by the tree bemoaning the fact she always falls for the wrong boy--the one going steady! totally made me laugh. ;D
ReplyDeleteI recall your first post on this topic Greg and this one is a hit again! Aaah nostalgy ....
ReplyDeleteThese are always so fun, and weird
ReplyDeleteHaha I totally read Archie comics when I was a kid. It drove my mom crazy so she took me to a bookstore and I’ve been a convert ever since. Some of those were seriously cheesy though! Especially the cheating ones, those I’d give a pass to.
ReplyDeleteThose are all so silly and weird, lol
ReplyDelete"It's because I'm poor, isn't it?" I CANNOT 😂😂😂 "I love a loser" like okay Susan then STOP IT you know he sucks! These never fail to crack me up hahaha
ReplyDeleteFun! I love the Teen-Age Romance one that looks like a Frankie and Annette beach movie. I might have read Betty and Veronica comics when I was younger.
