This week is a thankful freebie. I'm kinda pressed for time this week so I'm just going to go with books I'm thankful for- for whatever reason. It could be because it opened up a new genre to me, or because a blogger recommended it and I ended up loving it, or whatever. These are the books that have touched me in some way or that I'm just thankful I discovered. Oh, and if you celebrate Thanksgiving- happy Thanksgiving!!!
I say it every time I see a book by Rainbow Rowell on any kind of list, but someday I really should read one of her books!! Alas, I haven't yet. Fangirl certainly sounds fun though. :)
ReplyDeleteAlways thankful for The Long way to a Small Angry Planet <3
ReplyDeleteGood Girls Lie and its tagline certainly sounds promising!
ReplyDeleteSeeing the cover for The Originals has made me realise how much I miss Cat Patrick's books. I really hope she publishes something in the near future!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I love The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet, and one of these days I need to cross Fangirl off my TBR.
ReplyDeleteI really should read Big Little Lies sometime.
ReplyDeleteHere is our Top Ten Tuesday.
I feel the same way about Lord of the Rings. Good list.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT.

Nice list! I've read and enjoyed several of these books.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!
Hey! Great topic idea! I did this one, too! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's nice. THe only one I tried in Fangirl there
ReplyDeleteThere are so many books I am thankful for as well. Glad these made it into your life.
ReplyDeleteThat's an awesome list of books to be thankful for :D
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving Greg!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Greg! And yes, I'm definitely thankful for all things Tolkien.
ReplyDeleteI am glad I read Big Little Lies, because it introduced me to Moriarty, who I think is a phenomenal storyteller
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful T-Giving!
ReplyDeleteI see quite a few books that I have sitting on my tbr shelf and not a single one that I have actually read. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteAmen to the top one!!
ReplyDeleteFunny, I read another fabulous book entitled The Blue - historical novel/mystery on the Derby Porcelain. Fascinating, and superb writing: https://wordsandpeace.com/2018/11/27/book-review-the-blue/
I think we must have vastly different opinions of Rainbow Rowell ;)
ReplyDeleteThe thing that bugs me the most about her writing is the stupid names. She's just using cities and town in Nebraska as character names and it drives me bonkers. Well, it is one of the many things that drives me bonkers about her books. But, I am glad you enjoy them!
I loved the Extinction Trials trilogy! Beautiful covers, great characters and dinosaurs...who could ask for more!!!
ReplyDeleteI’m thankful for Fangirl, too! It introduced me to Rainbow Rowell’s work and taught me that I might like books outside my comfort zone.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I'm thankful for LOTR and Fangirl too :D Great list!
ReplyDeleteYour love for Nine Perfect Strangers is making me really want to read it. :) Happy Thanksgiving, Greg!
ReplyDeleteSome good books on here! Fangirl is one I have got to read soon, I can't believe I'm so far behind! Great list, and thanks for visiting my Top 10 at Lisa Loves Literature earlier!
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhh I love Fangirl too. It’s my favorite contemporary book and at the time I didn’t write a traditional review. I kick myself for that. I think I just related hardcore to it.
ReplyDeleteOHHH! So many good books on here and so much to be thankful for. Ah, The Originals AND Eight Hundred Grapes are sooo underrated!
ReplyDeleteI added The Blue to my TBR because of you - I really need to get to it! Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Fangirl. That's one of the comp books for my NaNoWriMo 2019 book. And I was named after a Lord of the Rings character, so I can be thankful for that one too, LOL. Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteI guess I am thankful that most of these books are sitting on my bookshelf because you said they should be? And that someday, I might even read them? 😂
ReplyDeleteLoTR is a good one... I guess I'm grateful for the movies for convincing me to read the books!
ReplyDeleteFangirl I still haven't read. I wanted to read it. I bought it. Still haven't... Sigh.
That cover on the Extinction series is one of my faves. No surprise though because I love purple. Hope you had a wonderful holiday.
ReplyDeleteLong Way! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍✨
ReplyDeleteGood choice of books! I'm thankful of Fangirl for making me feel like I wasn't the only weirdo reading/writing fanfic at uni. And I love Becky Chambers books for showing me a different side to sci-fi.
ReplyDeleteI too am thankful for LOTR, those are just such great books. And I so need to read Fangirl soon.
