I think that words combined with music can have a profound effect on us, and in this series I want to showcase some songs that I really think hit the mark. Taste in music is subjective, of course, but I'll be picking songs that I think have that combination of words and music. Songs that stand apart.
New Sensation! This song is so catchy, I just love the beat and the infections nature of it. It makes me happy. And near as I can tell from the lyrics, it's about living life to the fullest, and maybe living in the moment as well? Taking advantage of what life throws your way? Taking a chance. Wow! Memories right here. I remember seeing them live, back in the day. This was a good jam, but Never Tear Us Apart was my favorite from this album.
ReplyDeleteSuch a good song! I used to really love INXS. Don't Change was always my favorite from them but this one was good, too. I always thought this one had more of a rock feel than a lot of their other stuff.

ReplyDeleteSuch an upbeat song and I have always loved INXS. I had a best friend in high school who was OBSESSED with Michael Hutchence. It's so sad that he had such a tragic ending to his life. "One Thing" has to be my favorite INXS song!
