It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Book Date

You know June has been a pretty good month- the temps have been nice, the reading has been good, and I've been binging some good stuff.  As for this week I finished up The Extinction Trials Exile and read Blackfish City.

Movies That Suck this past week took a look at Creature From the Black Lagoon, and this week is another monster feature- The Valley of Gwangi. This is one of my favorite movies, so it should be a lot of fun. I'm not saying it's a good movie lol- but it is fun. And I'll have a post on Monday about Kickass Movie Quotes, of all things.

So how's your week been? Any vacation plans? Hope everyone has a great week. :)

  2. Silver Surfer is one of my son's favorite comics. We can't figure out where to go for vacation this summer. We were going to drive out east to Vermont, and then changed it to out west to Colorado and now maybe south to Georgia. Who knows? I want to stay put to be honest.

  7. I've always liked creepy forest pictures and that one of the tree and white clothed figures in it is wild. It's got a great creepy feel to it.

  8. We have had maybe four days of oppressivly hot weather since spring started and the rest have been glorious. I'll take some rainy chilly days in place of hot and humid any day. Ha ha. ⛅o

I have never heard of The Valley of Gwangi so your next Movies That Suck will be super interesting for me. 🎬

I think Annemieke, Jolene, and I are interested in doing a group read of Spaceborn Few if you want to pick a date and set up a Twitter DM group. If Jo doesn't have the time to complete Common Orbit could she still read the third book okay, or no? I know people said you can read Common Orbit as a standalone.

    Have a wonderful week. 🌞

    1. Im same way- I'll take cooler days and even *gasp* rain? over muggy and hot, anytime! And Valley of Gwangi is an old one- but a favorite!

I would be interested! Definitely- I think it's be great to buddyread! Do you want me to set up a Twitter group? And yes I think Jo can read the 3rd one anyway- it sounds like it's going to be all new characters, just in same universe- and they're all pretty good as stand alones anyway?

The Lies They Tell looks really good! I hadn't seen that one before. Also, I want to check out the Rachel Vincent.

  30. We are also having some fabulous weather - I can't recall a summer this good since 2007:)). I love the heat, though I think I'm in the minority - I know Himself and my sister both find it very trying... We are staying put this summer, which suits me fine - I've a lot of writing and editing ahead of me in the coming months! I hope you continue to enjoy great weather and many thanks for the awesome pics:)

  33. We've had a quiet week here and actually some lovely weather this weekend. I spent yesterday outside reading and it was wonderful. We don't have any major travel plans at this point, mainly because my son's school calendar has changed and so his vacation is three weeks shorter than usual. Hopefully we'll at least get in a couple of long weekends somewhere.

Hope you have a great week, Greg!

  58. My June has been a bit crazy! I have so much planned for this summer, just fun things I want to do with the family. I might be overscheduling, we will see if I need to back off some ideas. Lol. We are going up north to TC in August, I am looking forward to it.

    This weather has been spectacular!

Blackfish City and the Rachel Vincent book both look really good.
