Sunday Post #91

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

This has been a good reading week.

Last week I reviewed the Avengers movie, as well as Ex Machina. They were both good.

A Literary Odyssey is hosting a Victorian celebration- see the details here.

Book Den has a great review of The Princess Bride

Ciao Amalfi shares a beautiful hotel- nice pics!

This is awesome. A look at the chaos of a chase scene. They actually diagrammed it. And I love this line- "It's the apocalypse. Nobody cares about anything".

Between Mt Lines reviews A Robot in the Garden

  1. I was just looking at your Sunday Post for last week and thinking that Death of a Dishonorable Gentleman looked good. So I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it.
Nerd looks great too! I read the first book in The Testing by the same author and really enjoyed it. Which reminds me I must crack on with that series!

    1. I did like it a lot- was sorry to see it end. I've enjoyed several of Tasha Alexander's books, and Kate PArker is a new favorite of mine given the first two Victorian bookshop mysteries. I have high hopes for the new one- it's out in July I think.

  11. I am still marching through my backlog of eARCs; titles I let sit past the publishing date, from Edelweiss and Netgalley. I am all caught up on EW and I only have three or four left on NG. I have even caught up with some ebooks I purchased that have been sitting around on my Kindle (but there are 48 of those, lol). I am looking forward to your Dinotopia review. My son adored that series. Have a wonderful week. :D

  15. Great new books. Need looks intriguing and Royal Assassin is on my wish list. I love it when a book makes me want to stay in it's world. That's why I do enjoy a series, but those cliff hangers can be wicked. LOL

    1. Those movies are fun, aren't they? I've been reading mysteries lately, and enjoying them. A couple years ago I never read mysteries, so my reading tastes have changed. But I read YA too, so I change it up. :) I know what you mean about needing variety!

  27. I need to find a cozy mystery series that centers around books, they looks o cute! We have a few at the store here, but most of them are like book 4 or 5 and I don't like reading things out of order if I can help it. I'm pretty curious to see what Need is going to be like, I really enjoyed the authors Testing books. Well the first two, I still need to read the last one.

    1. I might try The Testing, I've kinda drawn a blank on YA's lately, not sure what to read next. Schol for Unusual Girls maybe, but after thatnot sure. I like mysteries set in older times generally, but Storm reviewed Murder in the Mystery Suite last week- it's first ina serie and is moder times. Centered around a book resor, I'm going to try it.
