CURRENTLY READING

The Clockwork Scarab (Stoker & Holmes, #1)

AROUND THE BLOGOSPHERE

Some good stuff from io9 this week. Check out the following discussions:

Why is JJ Abrams replacing the writer of Star Wars Episode VII? This could be good or it could be bad. I'm not sure about JJ Abrams being involved in this movie but Lawrence Kasdan- thats more comforting. He was involved with The Empire Strikes Back so maybe he knows what he's doing. Really though- I have a very bad feeling about this.

Divergent movie- a visit to the set, with pics and lots of details of filming. If you're into this movie, check it out!

Who remembers Tom Swift? The comments are where it's at here.

Whatever happened to advanced civilizations? Again here the comments are the real treat.

James Dashner on The Maze Runner and The Eye of Minds.

Hunger Games: Catching Fire movie details.

The greatest chase in scifi/ fantasy? Loads of choices here, and hilarious comments.

And elsewhere...

Exploding pumpkins. Maybe don't try this at home kiddies.

So how was your week?

  4. I'm always intrigued by covers with the Eiffel Tower on them -- that book looks very different from the books on France I've been reading.

  10. Ooh, you have a bad feeling about J.J. Abrams/Star Wars? We are at very opposite ends of the spectrum. I have so many good feelings. Good, good feelings. I do feel bad for the screenwriter they let go, but Abrams and Kasdan will be amazing.

    1. I hope you're right! :) I think my problem is I'm just so skeptical they will do these right. I liked Super 8 though- and I do like Larry Kasdan so maybe it will be good. And I really want to see the Millenium Falcon again... :)
