Her pagan desires violated even the loose moral code of the marshlands!
Seriously? Her pagan desires?? Wow- I've showcased a few iffy taglines here over the years but I think this one might be the worst yet? :)

This week is Last Ten Books That Gave Me a Book Hangover. In other words, books that rocked. Let's see...
Loved it!!!!!
Good stuff.
I can't wait for the next one.
My favorite graphic novel series right now.
That's all I got right now, so to make ten here are a few I'm hoping will be hangover- inducing! Well, not really, but you know.
Alone in the Wild looks engrossing by its cover alone - and maybe a bit of a creepy read...!? :) So glad you're enjoying!! Happy Top Ten Tuesday, Greg.
ReplyDeleteHer Pagan Desires? LOL. That's a horrible tagline! I want to read Alone in the Wild. I've heard nothing but positive reviews on it!
ReplyDeleteLindy@ A Bookish Escape
One of Us is Next is definitely one I need to read. I didn't LOVE the first book, but thought it was good enough to be curious about the sequel!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of The Sisters of the Vast Black but that cover alone I find interesting. Must go find out about it.
ReplyDelete"Seriously? Her pagan desires??"
ReplyDeleteHaha, I laughed out loud at this!
Will you review Alone in the Wild? It sounds...wild 😉
Great list! I read One of Us is Next yesterday and really enjoyed it, and I want to cross The Sisters of the Vast Black off my TBR soon.
ReplyDeleteLMAO I can't even with that tagline 😂 Too good!
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to see quite a few books on my TBR on this list! I'm especially excited for McManus' and Chambers' books! Great list, Greg :)
Sisters of the Vast Black does sound like a good read!
ReplyDeleteAnd I can't believe To Be Taught If Fortunate made your list again. LOL!
My TTT .
One look at her pagan desires and I'd want to run a mile!!! I don't go in for this book hangover thing. I read, review, move on and that's it so no TTT for me this week!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't think of ten books for this week's topic, but maybe that's because I haven't read any of these ;) There are several on here that I definitely want to read. Just haven't gotten to them yet.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
you've got some great looking books and armstrong is on my library reading list. i hope to get to it soon. and that tagline...lol...the cover looks sooooo cheesy.
ReplyDeletesherry @ fundinmental
Real book hangovers are rare for me, but Sisters of the Vast Black came close😁
ReplyDeleteThat is quite a tagline there. She looks like she's definitely up to something. Glad to see Night Shift and Good Girls Lie make your list!
ReplyDeleteInteresting choices--all new to me. That's what I love about participating. Finding good books, new authors.
ReplyDeleteLisa @ https://hopewellslibraryoflife.wordpress.com/2020/02/18/top-ten-tuesday-the-last-ten-books-that-gave-me-a-book-hangover/
I just got the audiobook for One of Us Is Next from my library. I'm not very far into it yet, so seeing it on your list is making me even more excited to delve into it!
ReplyDeleteHer Pagan desires? LOL That's funny as heck.
ReplyDeleteThe retro blurb is as fun as the cover. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm reading through the Kelley Armstrong series on book four now and hope its a top ten book for me, too.
I can't wait to read that Chambers novel! Great list this week. :)
ReplyDeleteLauren @ Always Me
Ohh, One of Us is Lying is on my TBR! Makes me excited to read it now. Great list!
ReplyDeleteHere's my correct link *I had the wrong one earlier*
My TTT!
Some awfully good titles there. Except for the pagan beauty.
ReplyDeleteThat tag line is amazingly bad! Someone got paid to write that! I think something is wrong with me because I don't get book hangovers but I do see several on your list.
ReplyDeleteThat cover art from Swap Girl looks vintage - like a Harold Robbins pick from way back LOL
ReplyDeleteI am still waiting for my library hold for One of Us is Next to come though, but I am with you, I want McManus to keep em coming, and am excited we get another book in December
ReplyDeleteHmm, that is quite the.. interesting.. tagline!
ReplyDeleteI really need to read more Kelley Armstrong. I've loved the ones I have read. And that tagline, oh my! LOL!
ReplyDeleteNight Shift is on my list and of course I love the Armstrong series. One of Us is on my list too!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that tagline, lol. Glad to hear One of Us is Next was such a great read for you. That's definitely one I'm looking forward to.
ReplyDeleteomg yes, worst tag line yet lol
ReplyDeleteThat tagline is so bad it's good. And Kelley Armstrong often gives me a book hangover. I should be starting that one soon.
ReplyDeleteYou always remind me that I need to pick up Karen M. McManus already.
ReplyDeleteOooh, Greg a couple of htese are new to me! Gimme that hangover goodness~!
ReplyDeleteThat tagline did make me laugh.
ReplyDeleteSongs of the Deep was a really good read and has a great cover.
and I really have to pick up those Armstrong books - very soon.
Lynn :D
Any old school author with the soft whip of passion is a friend of mine, Gorgeous Greg!(lol) Hugs, RO
ReplyDeleteOne of Us is Nest and Good Girls Lie sound like fantastic books. I love a great book hangover, so I should really get on these one day. Great list! :)
ReplyDelete*Next ;)
DeleteHer pagan desires... definitely is a seriously iffy tagline, haha!
ReplyDeleteI am still waiting for my copy of One of Us is next!!!
ReplyDeleteOkay that truly is the best worst tagline ever 😂 Ugh, book hangovers, honestly I have overbooked myself (pun absolutely intended) with review books so there is no stopping this train, I am afraid. So maybe I had one but who can even tell? Sisters of the Vast Black DEFINITELY qualifies! I want a whole series tbh. And one of these days, maybe we will both get to To Be Taught. I also want to read One of Us is Next, mostly because I keep seeing it on these lists haha.
ReplyDeleteMichael Crichton writes great books. My favorite of his is Timeline. Some of these others sound good too.
ReplyDeleteI just started One Of Us Is Next so I'm super excited to see it on your list! I can't wait to see how awesome it is!
ReplyDeleteThat tagline is terrible 🤣🤣 I love it!
ReplyDeleteI hadn't recalled seeing Sisters of the Vast Black before. I will have to check it out! 👍✨
