Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new Top Ten list will be posted. Everyone is welcome to join. Link back so everyone can check out other bloggers' lists. It's a fun way to get to know fellow bloggers.

This week is Top Ten Must Buy Authors. This one turned out to be pretty easy, given all the amazing authors I've discovered lately. And it got me thinking- if I were not blogging, or hadn't discovered so many authors through blogging, this list would be so different! Anyway, here are ten of my auto buys.

 Blake Crouch

Mainly because of this, but his latest- Recursion- was amazing also.

  Dark Matter

Julie Eshbaugh

These books weren't like, amazing, or anything but I liked them and the prehistoric setting was fascinating. I'm really curious to see what she tackles next.

Obsidian and Stars (Ivory and Bone, #2)

Becky Chambers

One word - Wayfarers.

The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet (Wayfarers, #1)

Kathleen Baldwin

Love this series!

A School for Unusual Girls (Stranje House, #1)

Ann Kidd Taylor

Absolutely loved this book.

The Shark Club

Lisa Jewell

I've liked most of what I've read of hers.

The Girls in the Garden

Liane Moriarty

Big Little Lies is my favorite of hers, and her last book didn't wow me, but I'll always take a look when she has a new release.

Big Little Lies

Rachel Vincent

She always gets a look from me as well.

Brave New Girl (Brave New Girl, #1)

S.M. Wilson

These were great so I will definitely take a hard look at whatever she writes!

The Extinction Trials (The Extinction Trials, #1)

Lauren Oliver

Her stuff is hit or miss for me but when she's on... she's on. :)

Panic (Panic, #1)

Gillian French

I don't have her latest one yet, but I generally like everything I've read.

The Lies They Tell

  1. Seems like I've seen some of Lisa Jewell's novels featured on booktube lately. Haven't heard of her books before then... or not that I remember. The cover art of this one is stunning. :)

  2. Blake. Crouch. Yes! I've only read two books by him but they were fantastic and I am definitely reading whatever he writes from now on.

  4. Becky Chambers! I still need to start The Extiction trials.

  5. I haven't read any of the books on this list yet, but I see Becky Chambers on your blog so often that I probably have to read something by her someday. You're so right about finding out about so many amazing books through blogging.

  6. Gillian French and Lauren Oliver would totally be on my list as well. After the last Moriarty book, I'm a tad nervous for her to be on auto-buy. I liked it, but it was SO different and kinda boring.....

  7. That is an interesting thought -- what would this life have looked like if you weren't blogging? I think mine might be more scifi and urban fantasy heavy. I haven't read as much as I would've liked on this list I msut admit.

  8. I think it was you who shared Becky Chambers' books with me. So glad I found this series.

  9. I totally agree, after Dark Matter and now recursion, Blake Crouch is an auto-read for me, and I'm definitely going to add his books to my collection!

  10. I'm really curious about Becky Chambers, I've heard amazing things and I love the covers. I've read the first book by Julie Eshbaugh, but really need to continue. I thought it was really interesting.

  14. I still haven’t read a Becky Chambers book, which is weird because I’m pretty sure I’ll love them!

Aj @ Read All The Things!

  15. I haven't read all Blake's yet because he has sooooo many but I really want to read a bunch more! He writes such good twisty stuff!

  16. Great list! I totally agree with you on Lisa Jewell. I have liked all her books I have read. Lauren Oliver is another great author.

  17. I considered putting Lisa Jewel on my list, too. She’s really moved completely away from the romance/women’s fiction she used to write and into domestic drama/thriller territory but I’m still on board for whatever she writes.

  18. Great list! I've only read Dark Matter by Blake Crouch but surprisingly loved it so much! Exciting to see that you have Extinction Trials mentioned on here. I recently bought it on my Kindle (admittedly a cover buy lol) but I'm so excited to read it 😃

  22. Your phrasing is closer to how I feel. I don't really have auto-buy authors anymore but there are several that I will always take a look at their latest releases.

  23. Great picks. I have a few must buy authors and the #1 being Christine Feehan.

  24. I really like Liane Moriarty, but I haven't read all of her books yet. I get why she's on your list. I want to read a Lisa Jewell book, but haven't gotten to her yet. I regret that. Nice list!

  25. Lisa Jewell and Liane Moriarty are two authors that I feel like WILL be on my autobuy list soon. I've read one book by each and loved them both. I've got The Shark Club on hold at my library. It looks great!

  26. I am honestly surprised to see a book like Kathleen Baldwin here above Greg! Color me impressed by your eclectic taste!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I've been straying from YA in the last few months but Rachel Vincent will always have me looking at her books twice! Great list and awesome book covers :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Oh nice list. I have several on my wishlist and I think you added a few too. :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Moriarty has impressed me with her books. I have not read the latest, but I loved all the others. Oliver is solid for me too. I have never been disappointed by her books.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I'd read Lauren Oliver's grocery list. I haven't loved every single book she's written, but the writing sure never disappoints! I have enjoyed stuff from a lot of the authors on your list too. A few of mine are (in addition to Lauren Oliver!) Neal Shusterman, Patrick Ness, and Mindy McGinnis.

  31. I need to read more Becky Chambers and Blake Crouch! :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. I see we have Blake Crouch in common this week! ;) I definitely need to read quite a few of the books on your list.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Becky Chambers for the win, ha ha. I'm excited for the new novella. 🙌🙌🙌

    ReplyDelete
  34. I love Blake Crouch! I haven't read RECURSION yet, but it's definitely on my "get to it ASAP" list. I'm also a Moriarty fan, although her last couple books haven't been up to her usual standard, IMHO. I agree, though, I'll take a look at anything with her name on it and I do love her older books.

    Happy TTT!

  35. Lauren Oliver is probably my favorite of these. I did enjoy Dark Matter. Big Little Lies is sitting on my jewelry box waiting for me to finally crack it open.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I can't believe I forgot to put Liane Moriarty on my list. She's definitely an auto-buy for me. And yay for Blake Crouch! He made my list too.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I still haven't read Blake Crouch but I'm sure I have a copy of Dark Matter. Must check.
    Lynn :D

  38. Lauren Oliver is one of my all time favorite authors, and I love Rachel Vincent! I've been reading sample's from her Shifter's series, Wildcats series, and Menagerie series. I enjoy her fast-paced writing style.

The Extinction Trials books I am contemplating though. I've been curious about those for a while.

  41. Love Rachel Vincent! Shes always a good one. And I haven't loved everything from Lauren Oliver, but Delirium is one of my faves!
