So I'm still basking in the afterglow of Captain Marvel. One of the few Marvel movies I want to see again, actually. Don't get me wrong, I love the Marvel stuff, but I don't always need to see them again, you know? But in this case I definitely want to. As for other news, I'm debuting a new feature- Tales from Northern Michigan- this week. I'll be taking a look at a snowy owl that may or may not need rescuing, an awesome bald eagle that did need rescuing, and a Native American ceremony that accompanied its release. The first post will be on Monday. Oh, and if you're so inclined I had a guest post this week at Dani's blog!

This past week I posted a road trip story with Hawkeye and Thor- that was fun- and I also shared my thoughts on Captain Marvel and why I think it's so awesome. In addition there was a review for The Sky So Heavy which had all the postapoc feels. Next week I'll have a review for Girls with Sharp Sticks.

  12. No one is more excited about this new feature than me, just saying. 😁 I love those pictures at the end, I would absolutely hang them up in a bar-type area. The other pictures are also fascinating. The Silo one might be my fave. And Solitude creeped me out but I still like it because damn.

I added the Golden City books on Amazon- I keep saying I am going to the trial but then review books ugh. First I am going to read The Gone World because well, I promised hah. Hope Girls With Sharp Sticks is going well too- I really thought it was good.

    1. Well, thank you. :) And yes- same. I need a bar area w/ lots of fantasy drink themes etc.

Golden city is amazing but hard to find? Like I don't think they're even in English, except on ComiXology?

  20. Mirkwood Merlot for me. I love that logo and very fond of red wine! :)

Need to check out your Q&A and I love the idea of your new feature. I could do one from my town but it wouldn't be as exciting and I think would revolve around lots of crime and creepy people. I really need to move lol

Bitmap movie images are cool. I love the LOTR one :)

Have a great week, Greg! Happy Reading! :)

"lots of crime and creepy people" lol. I think we have that everywhere! Thanks though- I'm definitely focusing on northern Michigan, which is vacation wonderland, as southern Michigan is more cities, and like you said, nothing too special!

  21. I have to admit I didn't feel rush to watch Captain Marvel in theaters, but I wanted to wait until it comes out for streaming.
But as I see you liked it so much, I might change my mind (read I changed my mind, but I'll go to theaters only if I find time while it's still screening).
You got me curious about your new feature... ;)

  22. I'm excited to hear that you loved Captain Marvel! I'm definitely going to see it one of these days. I've been terrible about getting to the theater lately, though. I usually end up watching everything streaming or from the library.
