3 Things about me

1) Riverdale might be my favorite show right now- at least until The 100 returns.

1978 Corvette Silver Anniversary Edition © General Motors

2) I love Corvettes- mid 70's models only. Black, silver, or metallic blue.

3) I wish I still had all the Peanuts books I had growing up.

My best post? This one's kinda tough so I'll just go with this recent review  of a book that's on my favorites list for 2017. The Shark Club

Lauren's questions:

1) What has been your favorite read of 2017, so far? Touch choice but I'll go with The Shark Club.

2) Dream cast your answer to number 1. Ouch- I'm terrible at this. But I'll say maybe Emily Blunt as Maeve and Clive Owen as Nicholas?

3) What upcoming book to movie or tv adaptation are you looking forward to the most? Not really sure, bit I'm intrigued about this news of Amazon adapting the Lord of the Rings.

4) If you could attend a dinner party with any five writers, actors, and/or musicians, who would be on your guest list?  George RR Martin, Shakespeare, JRR Tolkien, Rainbow Rowell, Leigh Brackett

5) Would you prefer to bring your favorite fictional characters into the real world, or would you rather be fictional with them? I would say I'd rather be fictional with them, because then I could go to Middle-earth?

My nominees: You! Or anyone who wants to do this one- I've decided not to pick nominees since I've nominated so many people for various awards, I don't even know anymore.

My questions (if you're so inclines):

1) What is your favorite show?
2) Who is your favorite music artist?
3) Your favorite book of the year
4) What attracts you more- a great book cover or a great book blurb?
5) You're stuck on a desert island- what 5 book characters would you pick to join you?

  2. Totally agree! I'd rather be fictional with people so I could go cool places and/or have cool super powers :) Congrats on the nomination, Greg!

    1. Yes! So true. I could go on vacation in Middle-earth or wherever and come back, oh, in a few months! :)

  3. Great answers. I am also interested in the LOTR adaptation to tv.

  4. Oooh I like this! And for some reason, I read Rainbow Rowell as "Rainbow Brite" and was REALLY confused until I realized I was simply losing my mind. And wow, high praise for Shark Club, now I am extra glad I bought it. I agree, dream casts are HARD. I actually agree about Riverdale! Because The 100 is still MIA, of course. Now, the fictional/real world thing... I mean, if YOU became fictional, wouldn't THAT become your "real world"? Maybe I am putting too much thought into this hah.

    1. Ha Rainbow Brite. That would be a fun dinner. And shark Club- yeah I'm surprised myself how much I liked it, I mean there's no fantasy, just a straight up contemp. It's got heart though, and is more an adult read than YA.

Good point. Would I get lost in middle earth??!?

  5. I really need to start Riverdale even though I have no idea what it's about, everyone seems to love it. Oh, Peanuts! I watch to watch something Charlie Brown soon! :)

    1. Riverdale is... quirky! It's basically a dark take on the old Archie comics, but nothing like the comics? Or so I guess since I haven't ever read Archie. Ooh and I definitely think I have a date with Charlie Brown Christmas coming up soon!!

  6. There's going to be another LotR? Sounds like that would be an interesting dinner you've planned ;-) And ooh, yes, I'd probably want to go to a fictional world, much more fun and exciting than just bringing someone here! And then you could meet more than one character. Found a loophole, haha.

    1. I guess, done by Amazon?! Seems weird, since they've already done the movies, but ?

I like that loophole. I keep saying I'd take an extended vacation in Middle earth!

  7. See, I've been absent way to long! I haven't heard of Shark Tank yet!!! Please don't throw me in the shark tank.... But I am checking it out as I type. (Woman you know, can do multiple things at once)

This is a nice tag! I've only done one book tag/challenge this year. Embarrassing I know. Let's see how the day goes! I might just quickly do this one!

Aaah your Peanuts book. As I am sorting through the books for the new school library, I come across so many of my childhood favorites. Lovely to see them again!

    1. Hey, good to see you around again! The Shark Club is quite a good book.

I love the old Peanuts books, I still find them fun to page through.

  8. Oop, still haven't watched Riverdale. I'm on a Criminal Minds spree right now, and I don't think that I can stop.

I've never read any of the Peanuts books before, I didn't even know that they were books! I'll have to see if my library has any. :)

    1. I've never seen Criminal Minds! Must be good though if you're binging it.

The PEanuts books were so fun, and there were a ton although I don't know how many are in print. I've seen some good ones though!

  11. These are always a great and fun way to learn about other peeps. You're a Corvette person, and know you'd love my Hotwheels collection. I'm very nervous of Amazon messing around with my Lord of the Rings. (lol) I'm a music fan, so I love all types of performers that include Ed Sheeran, Janet Jackson, Walker Hayes, and Tamela Mann. This is a list that would just like my favorite books, and go on and on. These days, I'd love visiting any fictional place. *heh* Hope you're feeling wonderful and healthy these days Greg! Hugs...RO

    1. Hey Ro!! And yes I love the vettes- but only certain model years. Hotwheels? I had a ton of those as a kid, and everyone now says they'd be worth a ton if I still had them. I rather doubt that, but it would be nice to still have that awesome collection.

Thanks Ro, I'm feeling pretty good. :)

  12. Great tag! You just reminded me about all the Peanuts books I had as a kid. No idea what happened to them all. I'm curious about Amazon's redoing Lord of the Rings. I thought the latest film version was wonderful so I'm not sure it feels like it needs to be done again. Going to Middle Earth sounds fun but I think I'd want to just stay in the Shire. The rest seems too dangerous!

  13. I love the Peanuts so much! I'd totally want to be fictional with my favorite characters, because I'd totally hang out with Harry Potter and the gang in their fun world.

  18. I love your answers! Rainbow Rowell was a surprise to me. I have not read any of her books yet. Maybe I will get to one next year. I wish I still had all of my Dr. Seuss books. This is a cool tag. I might do it. 💜
