Sunday Post #219

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer

Well a big thank you first of all for all the well wishes and thoughts that continue to pour in. Both on Twitter and here on the blog it means a lot. I'm reading again after taking a few days off and am feeling a little better every day. Lots of soreness but that's to be expected, it's just that deep healing that has to happen but the difference is pretty remarkable even from a week ago.

I watched Stranger Things 2 this week and loved it. That show has it going on.  And I'm all caught up on Riverdale.

Last week I reviewed the new Star Wars anthology and have reviews coming up for Replica and Top Ten, as well  as a bunch of other stuff I had planned before the surgery. One other thing I wanted to share this week were some highlights from the past week of SciFi Month.

At least you're reading again so that's good :) I'm glad to see you picked up Into the Drowning Deep! You will love that one!!!!!!! There's a cheap pre-quel you might want to read either before or after - it's out on Amazon and Kim reviewed it on her blog about a week or two ago. I didn't read it and you don't have to but it's Mira Grant / Seanan Maguire so... yeah...

  30. We are only a month away from the new Star Wars movie! AHHHHH! I am glad you are feeling better. La La and I were very worried. I agree that Stranger Things 2 was excellent! Poor Bob though! I just love all the 80s references. I watch it with my 18 year old son and laugh at things he doesn't get. I was about those characters ages during that time in the 80s. I was 10-11 in 1984 and totally remember Ghostbusters coming out and the Reagan-Mondale election. Have a great week!

  41. I'm going to need to go ahead and move into the Hall of Wisdom. I like the Element Maze too, though hard pass on actually living in that one. I hope Ringer was good! Curious about Maybe in Paris too, and Into the Drowning Deep- and your thoughts on Top Ten, I really liked that one. Except the ending, tbh. And I feel like I Dive For Treasure is misleading, because it looks more like Jaha Fed Me to Giant Sea Monster.

I'm so very glad you are doing better, most of all. That is certainly the best news of the week!

    1. Yeah the Hall of Wisdom looks about perfect. Not sure if they have enough books but we can always add more. :) And I liked Element Maze too! Obviously it looks like Maze Runner but I just liked the look of it.

Ringer was good. Better than I expected, I saw a few letdown reviews but I thought it was solid. Top Ten I'm liking but need to finish- the ending huh? I'll keep that in mind. And Dive for Treasure is SO ridiculous- I like your version better!

Stranger Things was amazing this season. Dart! That is all I have to say. And I loved Steve's new persona. Did you hear they were going to kill his character off last season but couldn't do it because he is just such a nice guy?
