This week is Top Ten Book Recommendations for Thrillers/ Mysteries. I've been reading a ton of thrillers lately and here are some favorites.
A woman sees something she shouldn't.
Killer twist.
Two women join a yacht crew and find love. What could happen?
I am not much into thrillers, but I have recently read one. I have heard good things about The Woman in Cabin 10. How's it?
ReplyDeleteI thought The Woman in Cabin 10 was quite good!
DeleteI have not read a single one :/
ReplyDeletewhat???
DeleteMysteries :D Nice!
ReplyDeleteFriend request (I think it was also on some other post of yours) sounds like something that I will soon read :D
I've been reading a lot more mysteries/ thrillers this year. And Friend Request was pretty good- a little slow moving but I liked it.
DeleteI'm always saying to myself that I should read more thrillers! I didn't know any of thes yet, but I'll have to check them out!
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I'm pretty new to thrillers but have read a ton this year!
DeleteOOoh nice! These are all new to me ones! Will have to look into them! I love a good thriller!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Thanks Jessica. I never used to read thrilles and now I've read a ton!
DeleteI'm a HUGE fan of thrillers, but I've only heard of the last two on your list! Going to check some of these out on Goodreads now - thanks for the recommendations.
ReplyDeleteI recommended books for reluctant readers for this week's topic.
You're welcome, good luck if you try any of these!
DeleteOoh you've got some amazing looking thrillers on your list Greg. I think I'm going to have to check out Friend Request. Feeling creeped out by it already!
ReplyDeleteFriend Request was a little creepy!
DeleteI've seen these books quite often on your posts recently. I don't read thrillers unless they have a big horror tilt in them so I haven't read any of these.
ReplyDeleteYes it fun pulling these together and so many of these I've read recently.
DeleteIt seems like there have been lots of thrillers lately, and so many of them seem to center on a woman who is isolated socially. I wonder what that's about.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great list! Thank you.
Here's mine: Can Books Improve Your Happiness?
I think you may be right. Must be the age of social media?
DeleteI liked the Woman in Cabin 10 and I'm going to check out the others that you've mentioned :) Great post!
ReplyDeleteI've not had the best luck with thrillers lately and have been taking a little break from them since reading Final Girls. However, I love the covers of some of these, especially the ones featuring water. Great topic.
ReplyDeleteThanks Barb, I did hear good things about Final Girl.
DeleteI don't read many adult thrillers, but I should. Whenever I pick one up I am completely absorbed. They all sound pretty mysterious and intriguing, I'd have trouble choosing one!
ReplyDeleteCass @ Words on Paper
You're right, not many of these are YA (in fact I think I thought Girl From The sea was gonna be YA, but I guess it wasn't technically) that's a good point- hadn't even considered that! They are all mysterious though, to one degree or another. :)
DeleteI'm always up for a good thriller - I loved The Woman In Cabin 10 and Emma in the Night is on my TBR. Great list!
ReplyDeleteEmma in the Night was good, I hope you like it. And I liked Cabin 10 a lot too.
DeleteI haven't read any thrillers in ages but a lot of these sounds pretty interesting 🙂
ReplyDeleteMost of these are pretty good, a few might have been hit or miss but largely I enjoyed all of these!
DeleteOh I ove thrillers so much! There are so many here I still need to add to my TBR - thanks for the recs!
ReplyDeleteSure- happy reading! :)
DeleteI recognise a few of these titles but I haven't read them. They all sound pretty intense though, great list!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT
Most of these are pretty intense!
DeleteI kinda took a break from thrillers because I ended up hating all the characters and I needed something cheerier! I do occasionally pick one up if it sounds like it has some crossover with something else I like.
ReplyDeleteHa ha I know what you mean- the characters can be unlikeable in these sometimes. And sometimes you do need a happier read. :)
DeleteGreat list! I love a good mystery/thriller.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I do too...
DeleteI'm not sure this genre as a whole is for me, but man. Friend Request sounds really good!
ReplyDeleteFriend Request was kind of a trip. And I never read that many thrillers before, but this year I've read a ton!
DeleteI love a good thriller but I've read some that are not so... thrilling so thanks for these recommendations. I've seen a couple of them around - Friend Request and The Woman in Cabin 10.
ReplyDeleteI'm visiting from the Top Ten Tuesday linkup.
Love your topic choice this week!! I always love a good thriller. I really enjoyed Gone Without a Trace - a lot of good twists in that one. I have a few of these on my TBR already (I Found You and The Woman in Cabin 10), but looks like I need to add more! I just started The Girl Before, hopefully it's a good one. I don't see it on your list so I'm hoping that's just because you haven't read it. ;)
ReplyDeleteHere's my TTT this week.
Thrillers are one of my favorite reads! What She Saw has been on my TBR since I first saw it. I think all of these are going on my TBR now. :D
ReplyDeleteHere is my TTT.
What She Saw was quite good, I hope you like it!
DeleteThe Girl from the Sea looks interesting, even if I'm not into thrillers. I do like the whole follow a character that is regaining their mystery memories.
ReplyDeleteI love Thrillers!! i'm adding all of these to my list-- especially THE GIRL FROM THE SEA. That sounds twisty!!
ReplyDeleteThe Girl From The Sea has a great twist!
DeleteThe only one of these I've read is The Girl From The Sea. I don't know what I think of the ending of that book. It seems to be a popular thing to pull that twist and I just don't know what I think of it.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. I liked it because it worked for me in the context of that story, and some of the things that came after I was like- dang. But I can see where it wouldn't work for everyone.
DeleteDang I forgot TTT was coming back online this week from the month-long break! Mysteries and thrillers are my favorite genre so I'll have to write up a post and post it tomorrow! I'm going through all these titles you've listed and checking out their goodreads page. I'm always looking for new ones! The Girl From the Sea caught my attention the most just because of your "killer twist" comment!
ReplyDeleteI almost missed it too! Yay for mysteries! Can't wait to see your post. And I liked the twist in Girl From The Sea- I thought she sold it well. Hope you like it if you read it!
Delete*navigates over to Goodreads to add each of these that I haven't yet read to my TBR*
ReplyDeleteWonderful list!!
Ha ha hope you find one or two that you like. :)
DeleteI'm dabbling in the genre right now and loved Last Seen Leaving by Caleb Roehring.
ReplyDeleteFor What It's Worth
Ooh, I haven't read that one. I'll have to check it out.
DeleteMy free ebooks emails used to be top heavy with a lot of Romances, but for the last few months it has been Suspense and Thrillers. I guess the tide is turning. :)
ReplyDeleteOoh read some suspense ha ha!! :)
DeleteI love a good thriller! I haven't read any of these but do have most of them on my tbr list. Looking forward to The Woman in Cabin 10 soon.
ReplyDeleteI do too. I liked The Woman in Cabin 10.
DeleteGreat list. Emma in the Night is the only one I've read so far, but all of the others are on my TBR. Can't wait to read them!
ReplyDeleteI liked Emma. And I surprised mysef how many thrillers I've read this year!
DeleteI just picked up The Lying Game from the library and I can't wait to it! :)
ReplyDeleteOoh I hope you like it!
DeleteI've been in a thriller mood lately so this list is perfect. I love Ruth Ware and I've had The Blue on my TBR since you first mentioned it years ago. One day I'm actually going to read it! I Found You and Friend Request look amazing! Basically I want all of these!
ReplyDeleteI do push The Blue every time I get! :)
DeleteI have the Lying Game on audio and cannot wait!! Gads, I am saving this post. I love thrillers especially in the Fall. Great list Greg.
ReplyDeleteThrillers go well with fall. Hope you enjoy The Lying Game. :)
DeleteI do not pick up enough thrillers. I did, however, finally pick up The Woman in Cabin 10 this summer. There is something so haunting about Emma in the Night's book cover. I must look into it more.
ReplyDeleteI'm not usually a Thrillers reader but some of these look really interesting! I'll have to look into some of them! http://thelittlebookblog.blogspot.com/2017/08/top-ten-tuesday.html
ReplyDeleteWhat She Saw looks amazing! I'm such a wuss, though. I have to be really careful or I'll freak my lives-only-with-cats-and-mice-self out and never sleep again. lol
ReplyDeleteIt's so cool when people's TTT lists are full of books that I've heard of.
ReplyDeleteThe cover for Friend Request made me shudder. That's exactly the kind of thriller I'd like to read, so you may have convinced me to pick it up. :)
Here is my TTT.
I love the atmosphere in all these covers. They fit this genre perfectly
ReplyDeleteI don't read enough thrillers. I had some of these on my TBR, but will definitely check out a few others. Great list!
ReplyDeleteHi! I haven't read a good thriller in a while. I'll have to check these out! Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteMy TTT
Leslie
Hey TTT - welcome back! I've been dying to read the Woman in Cabin 10 - not sure why I haven't picked it up yet, dang it! I also like the looks of The Blue and The Girl from the Sea. Obviously I like me some books that take place on the ocean:)!
ReplyDeleteok ok ok... I'll read mysteries! :D how couldn't I??? look at your list. All the covers look so good first ALL THAT BLUE :) and the settings so mysterious, and the faces always hidden and the image blurry. I know I sound shallow, but it does work for me!!! I'm a marketing dream target :) LOL
ReplyDeleteI need to read more thrillers. I`ve heard really good things about The Lying Game.
ReplyDeleteCarmen / Carmen`s Reading Corner
One of my favorite topics! :-) I haven't read any of the books on your list, but they are all on my wishlist. I have a copy of The Woman in Cabin 10, and am hoping to read it soon.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of ANY of these nor the authors (that I remember). That said, OHMYWORD, some of this cover design is amazing. 'Emma' and The Blue are both amazing, and I love how the clouds overlap with the text on I Found You. Great set of book covers. :)
