This week is all about the romance- it can be fave hate-to-love romances, insta-loves, slow burn- you name it. I decided to just go with ten favorite romances I've read recently (more or less), and since I prefer the slow burn variety they probably tend that way, although not all of them necessarily. So here are my picks.
Doran and Solara were a great hate-to-love couple, and as much as I couldn't stand Doran at first I was kinda rooting for him at the end. Nice job Melissa Landers!
Rosemary/ Sissix and Ashby/ Pei. I thought the first one was done so delicately, handled so well... you know what I mean if you've read it. And Ashby/ Pei I was just rooting for them.
Cath and Levi.
Alex and Ada.
Morgaine and Vanye.
Verity and Dominic are fun.
I'd be remiss if i didn't include Ellison and Anarchy Jones- or is it Hunter Tafft? Elly just can't make her mind up...
Sarah and Ethan.
Georgie and Wyatt.
I loved Solara and Doran's relationship because it just felt so realistic, the way it progressed!
ReplyDeleteI agree! I'd like to see more of them in Starfall even though I know they're not the focus. The relationships in Long Way are pretty good for a space opera.
DeleteThe relationship in Long Way was great! And you really make me want to read Alex and Ada, I keep finding it in your posts! Hope you're having a great week.
ReplyDeleteI hope you do! It's great.
DeleteI need to read Starflight still. So many to catch up on. But I LOVE Fangirl! My Top Ten
ReplyDeleteI liked Fangirl. And Starflight is awesome.
DeleteI love the slow burn type of romance, so thanks for this list. I had only heard of one of these books before.
ReplyDeleteI a lot this week too that I was unfamilar with. :)
DeleteI'm a sap for a good romance, and all of these are new to me, so thank you!

You're welcome!
DeleteOh I love Cath and Levi. Super cute. I really have to get to The Long Way. Great list!!
ReplyDeleteLong Way definitely worth a read. And I loved Cath and Levi. :)
DeleteI avoid romance wherever possible so I'm not likely to go looking at any of these! I did try the Seanan McGuire one and it was ok but I'm not a fan of the author's writing in general. Not sure why but just not my thing! Nice to see a non instaluv list though!
ReplyDeleteIf you like space and SF you might like A Long Way. It was really quite good.
DeleteAh I really need to read these books! Glad you enjoyed the romances :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my TTT
Amy @ A Magical World Of Words
they're all good!!!
DeleteI just bought Starflight last week. I'm excited to finally read it!
ReplyDeleteOh I hope you like it. I thought it was quite good.
DeleteCath and Levi are for sure one of my favorite romances out there! :)
ReplyDeleteYep, one of my faves too.
DeleteI actually haven't read any of these, but I'm especially curious to read Starflight! Fabulous list :D
ReplyDeleteBrittany @ Brittany's Book Rambles
starflight is good. And Long Way is fabulous!!
DeleteGreat list! I haven't read any of these either. I'm hoping to get to the Starflight series soon and I've also heard good things about Alex and Ada.
ReplyDeleteI liked alex and Ada a lot.
DeleteI can't believe I haven't read Starflight yet! I always like your lists, you always add unique books!
ReplyDeletecheck our TTT and there is a link on top to a giveaway.
My TTT.
Thank you!
DeleteFangirl was a favorite the year I read the book.
ReplyDeleteFangirl and The Deep End are both on my TBR. I have got to get to those this year! Great list as always!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT.
Oh The Deep end I push that as much as I can!
DeleteI haven't yet read any of these, Greg, but they are all on my TBR list or wish list. You have such good taste! I tend to favor the slow burn romance too. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThank you! And slow burn is the best.
DeleteI've only read Fangirl Greg but I agree with you 100% I WILL read The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet ASAP though ;)
ReplyDeleteOh please do, I'd love to see what you think!
DeleteI just bought the Alex + Ada collection! Can't wait to dive in. :D
ReplyDeleteOoh I hope you like it!!
DeleteI am really tempted to buy all of Alex + Ada, I have been seeing it everywhere recently and it looks soooooo good.
ReplyDeleteAlex and Ada was quite good. Nice graphic novel.
DeleteI haven't heard of Sanctuary Bay, I'm going to look it up now! Hope you enjoy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteI liked Sanctuary Bay a lot. It's a YA with a nice creepy SF vibe.
DeleteI've only read starflight and fangirl from your list but I loved the romance in both of them, even though Doran was a jerk at the start! Great post!
ReplyDeleteDoran was a jerk! Ha ha!
DeleteI need to read some of these. I do agree with Fangirl though - loved Cath and Levi.

Cath and Levi are such a great pair! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog earlier.
Solara and Doran are definitely my favorite couple that I've read recently! That romance was written so perfectly AND it's a bonus that it all happens amidst such a fun plot!
ReplyDeleteI'm a slow burn fan myself and I love that you included The Deep End. I normally can't stand love triangles but I'm okay with this one and I can't make up my mind about Anarchy and Hunter either so I don't blame Ellison a bit!
ReplyDeleteSlow burn romances are my favorite! I haven't read anything by Melissa Landers yet; Starflight sounds like a good place to start!
ReplyDeleteDiscount Armageddon! I so agree with that romance -- it's so well done!
ReplyDeleteI just bought Starflight recently but haven't gotten a chance to read it yet. Now I'm even more excited! Fangirl is one of my favs too! I love Rainbow Rowell. Great list!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these books yet. But since I love romance novels I really like the sound of these books. Fangirl has been on my TBR list for a while.
ReplyDeleteCath and Levi are definitely favorites of mine. I also keep hearing good things about Starflight so may give that one a try as I do find the hate-to-love relationships pretty entertaining.
ReplyDeleteI have not read ANY of these because I fail, BUT I just bought Starflight and The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet (thanks, tax return!) so I am excited about those, especially since the romances are so great! And I should probably read Fangirl soon. Because I may be the only person left who hasn't bwhaha. Great picks!
ReplyDeleteI've heard really good things about Melissa's books (her earlier series specifically), but haven't read any of her books. Always, Rainbow's books are in the same category (heard a lot), so thanks for the reminder. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Finding Wonderland, Greg.
Even though Fangirl wasn't really for me, Levi was certainly a cutie.
ReplyDeleteRosemary and Sissix were such a delight to read about! Now you've got me super eager to read Starfall and A School for Unusual Girls, which both look awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of the ones that you've featured here, but Sanctuary Bay sounds intriguing!
ReplyDeleteI love Fangirl!! I really should re-read it. I've heard great things about Starflight and The Long Way...sounds amazing. Great list, Greg!
ReplyDeleteFAN GIRL!!! YES!!! I am a huge Rainbow Rowell Fan. I have met her 3 times. I was not a huge fan of the off shoot book Carry On. But I think I am in the minority there.
ReplyDeleteA lot of books on here I've not heard of but I am completely with you on Cath and levi, I love them together. Also, Rosemary and Sissix and Ashby and Pei. I mean, the relationships in general in Long Way were great but the romantic ones were also really good. They were just different and weren't forced on you.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't do this prompt because of my romance allergy. XD
