Sunday Post #183

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer

Man when I was talking about spring fever last time I wasn't expecting it to be this nice. We had warm temps and while it might get cold I'm in full spring mode. In fact they are talking about a cooldown, but I'll take it as long as it lasts. Otherwise a pretty good week. My current read has been a bit of a disappointment. I'm hoping the next one will pick up the pace again.

Did anyone watch Big Little Lies last weekend? Between that and Riverdale I should have my full weekly allotment of angst and drama...

Trust Issues IV will be up this week. Probably on Wednesday. I reviewed Moon Called this week and I read Winter of the Gods. My reviews for Six Wakes and Gods will be up soon.

Next Week:

Cover Characteristics will look at cookie jars. Cookie jars?? Nah- I'm going rogue.

  3. My apocalypse reads this week have been a disappointment-over padded with info dumps and political lectures, and characters I don't care about. Ugh! I feel like I'm ploughing through treacle with my reading. Hopefully better reads for both of us next week!

  4. Big Little Lies! I'm watching! I didn't know what to think of it the first ep -- and people keep telling me to read the book first, but honestly... I think this series might capture my attention enough on it's own. I might change my mind at some point, but it is making me want to try some other books of Liane Moriaty's.

  7. I'm trying to not watch Big Little Lies until I read the book but it's so hard! Riverdale looks good too and you are definitely set on drama! We've had amazing weather too but then last night we had a storm and I'm currently freezing. Of course I'm a huge wimp when it comes to cold ao that's not say all that much but it IS colder than it was. I love your art this week especially the last two travel posters. The colors and the simplicity is just amazing. Have a great week!

    1. I would have a hard time staying away, but then I've read the book. I hope you get a chance to watch or read. And yes- with that AND Riverdale I'm ALL set on drama! And it's cold there too huh? We hit 70 on Wed and now it's like 25!!

Glad you liked the art. I have some more next week. :)

  8. I know I am a winter girl but this last week the weather has been all over the place and I am realizing I prefer to be a spring/fall girl. I still hate summer. We are going to cool off too this week but being in the 50 and 60s is making me love the open windows and soft breeze. I love it.

I need to watch Riverdale, I still can't seem to stop watching Bones. I am missing so much because I wont stop watching BONES! :)

Have a great week, Greg! Happy Reading!

Never seen Bones! But yes you should try Riverdale! Trashy fun!!!

  10. It's been really nice here too. The mornings and evenings are a bit too cold for my tastes, but the days otherwise are just perfect. Sunny and not too cold or hot. I am glad you are experiencing good weather too. I am sorry your reading recently has been a disappointment.

I need to read Big Little Lies--and soon! Then I can catch Big Little Lies on HBO Go, maybe.

I hope you have a great week, Greg!

I haven't seen Big Little Lies yet though I do plan to watch the first episode since it is free. My sister liked it though she said it inspired her to reread the book.

The weather was absolutely beautiful this week, especially Friday. Unfortunately we had some light snow and much colder temperatures on Saturday.

  15. I recorded Big Little Lies but I'm almost afraid to watch it b/c I don't have HBO and they were sooooo "horrible" to tease me with the free preview to hook me in. I'm not sure if I want to nibble on that worm or not ;)

Oh, you have The Rains? I have that too, but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet. I look at it a lot though since my bookshelf is kind of across the room from my couch. Does that count? :-P

I did not watch either of those shows, but I did get caught up on the latest episodes of Suits. Now I have to wait and watch it week by week like everyone else lol.
